Memories

The paramedics came to take the bodies of Wendy and Johnny to the hospital. I would have gone with them, but I felt dirty and needed a shower. While showering, I started thinking that if Wendy and Johnny fought while I was sleeping, I would not have heard anything since I was a heavy sleeper. So, I thought of two possibilities: the first is that Wendy and Johnny got into an intense argument, which led to an altercation, and the second possibility is that an intruder snuck into the apartment and attacked them after they finished sleeping together. After I thought of a logically probable cause, my boss Anderson called to tell me that Wendy and Johnny were getting the blood on them cleaned off. Wendy and Johnny were examined to see if they were sexually assaulted and in critical condition.

I asked my boss, Anderson, if Wendy and Johnny could die since they got seriously injured. Anderson replied, "We will see. Since they are fighters, they should recover soon." I told Anderson I would visit Wendy and Johnny when I got dressed because I needed to ask what type of injury they had received to decide if they got into a fight or were a victim of opportunity by a perpetrator. So, as soon as I got dressed, I went to Wendy's room, where she put her car key on top of her dresser so I could drive to the hospital since my car was back at base.

Now, I must conduct two investigations with me, hoping that the one for Wendy will be easy to solve. As I drove to the hospital, I was overthinking the worst-case scenario. When I arrived at the hospital, I asked the receptionist which room Wendy Jones was in and the status of Wendy Jones and her boyfriend, Johnny Wague. The receptionist had to talk to the doctors and nurse, to which they said "No" to me since Wendy was in critical condition along with Johnny and because I was not family.

I told the receptionist, nurses, and doctors that I was an NCIS agent and that NCIS stood for Naval Criminal Investigative Service. I told them I was a police officer in dumb terms that dealt with crimes that dealt with the Navy and Marine and, of course, with us. I told them I wanted Wendy to tell me what had happened before continuing my other investigation. The nurses and doctors told me to go to my other case and would contact me when Wendy and Johnny regained consciousness or died. I asked what type of injuries they had received, and they said stab wounds and gunshots. The doctors said both Wendy and Johnny had lost an enormous amount of blood.

I told the doctors, nurses, and receptionist to call me if Wendy or Johnny died so I could tell my boss as soon as possible.

I returned to the first case I was investigating, searching for Petty Officer Elizabeth Miner. I drove back to the base so my boss Anderson and Gary could help me search for more clues on where the criminals could have taken Petty Officer Elizabeth Miner. Anderson, Gary, and I went to Petty Officer Elizabeth Miner's apartment to go through her belongings and see if we could put her ex-fiancé as the prime suspect in her kidnapping along with their kid. We found a picture of Petty Officer Elizabeth Miner and her ex-fiancé, all happy, and I assume before they broke up. We also knocked on her neighbors' doors to ask questions and ask if the ex-fiancé was coming around, but they were unaware he had.

One neighbor said, "I have heard Elizabeth Miner argue loudly, which I am assuming she was conversing with someone on her cell phone because I did not hear any other voice in her apartment." I asked how long you had known Petty Officer Elizabeth Miner, and the neighbor said, "Not that long." I wondered why Petty Officer Elizabeth Miner did not fight back to protect herself and her eight-year-old daughter.

We searched to see if Petty Officer Elizabeth Miner used any social media and found her Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, and dating profiles. Her bio showed she was a black belt who competed aggressively in her matches. I saw she had received first and second place. I assume Elizabeth Miner is not violent or aggressive in front of her daughter, and her daughter probably does not know how strong her mother is. I asked her neighbors if they knew her ex-fiancé well, and they said, "No." They were surprised to learn that Petty Officer Elizabeth Miner was engaged. Because she was strict about sharing her personal life, all her neighbors had said the same thing: she shared nothing about herself all the time she lived in the complex. So, none of her neighbors were her friends, which is unfortunate.

We left the building complex to go to where I saw the dead body lying on the street close to Best Buy. Even though the ambulance took the body away, we found the bullet that pierced the body on the road. First, we took the shell to see what type of gun it was shot from. Then, we drove back to base to have Rebecca analyze the bullet so we could find the gun's model and make.

Since it would take a few hours before getting the result back on the bullet, I went down memory lane about my past with Wendy. Wendy and I were neighbors growing up, so I have known her my whole life. Before we turned ten, we knew each other’s favorite colors, food, games, etc. We have always told each other's secrets since we were eight years old, and one secret was we both liked each other a lot. When we turned twelve, we started spending more time with each other, cuddling, kissing, and doing what other adolescents do. During those times, we met a kid named Anthony who lived near Wendy's parents' house.

Anthony's full name is Anthony "Chris" Rivera. The three of us became good friends for a while, which was great while it lasted. The day I stopped being friends with Anthony was when he tried flirting with Wendy, which made me envious of him. Wendy also tried to end her friendship with Anthony because she felt uncomfortable around him. Wendy asked Anthony to stop since their friendship was getting awkward. Anthony did not stop, so I asked him why he was trying too hard to get with Wendy, and he responded that she was the first female he fell in love with.
