Hazels flashback

I woke up screaming and soaking wet because of my sweat. I had a nightmare, I know, for sure. I can still remember what happened, but it was rather odd. That's why I knew it wasn't real. There were elves and trolls and other magical beings, and I was sort of one of them but still my human self as well. They tried to capture me as their prisoner because I was neither human nor elf. I was gonna be their prisoner, but just before they could catch me, I woke up. I looked at my alarm clock. 2 am. It was way too early to wake up, although I wasn't sleepy anymore. I went downstairs to check the shield because the nightmare did scare me a lot, and I wanted to make sure I'd put it on. Back in bed, I kept thinking about the nightmare, and I couldn't sleep anymore. Lulu was purring in her sleep. I think she just caught something because her jaws made chewing moves. I turned on the bedlight and grabbed my book. Maybe a little bit of reading would put my mind at ease so I could sleep again. But I was reading a book about elves and dragons, so I put it away again and turned off the light so I was in the darkness again. I listened to the rain falling down on my roof and dozed off again to eventually fall asleep.

The next morning I felt terrific even though I had a broken night, I had a very high energylevel and the sun was shining so I turned the shield off and went into the garden to see the damage the rain last night had done. Just a few flowers were bowing down to earth because their stems snapped, and they were broken. "Well, I'd better put those in water, Lulu." Lulu meowed and jumped onto the picnictable as if she was saying sure go ahead, I'll just lie down in the sun and relax. I went inside to make myself some breakfast and to get Lulu something to eat as well.

After breakfast, I went out of the gate to care for the plants that grew through the fence, but I didn't close the gate. During the day, that wasn't necessary because the scary things only happened during the night and not in plain daylight.
