Ding looked at Lian silently and Lian who had finally managed to get the courage to speak out his thoughts honestly was a bit embarrassed. The blush on his cheeks had intensified reaching the tips of his ears in seconds.
A suffocating silence stretched among them, the soft conversations of other people around them being the only sound.
"You..."
He was interrupted when Lian abruptly stood up, excused himself and dashed out of sight. Ding blinked, surprised for a second before his expression fell.
The words Lian had said echoed through his mind and he couldn't help but shake his head in disbelief.
It was impossible. How could he.. no way, it was all a joke, a miserable joke at that.
Lian ran to the only place he found comfort in. His old house which had been neglected since his moving in with Ding welcomed his presence. The door creaked open and he walked into the dusty, silent, dark room, his thundering heart being the only sound in the room.
