Chapter 151: The Eternal Truth

Perhaps the ideal situation in Asgard would be for Thor to become king and Loki to assist him.

However, Odin, that old guy, instilled in them the idea that "you are all born to be kings, but only one person can sit on the throne." when they were young.

If he really wanted Loki to become the king of Jotunheim and form an alliance with Thor's rule over Asgard, then the second half of that statement would be nonsense.

So, after realizing Thor's recklessness, arrogance, and the potential threat he posed to Asgard, Loki finally decided to personally shoulder this burden.

And after realizing his identity as a Frost Giant, it did not alienate him from Asgard, but it intensified his obsession.

He didn't want to be a Frost Giant. He grew up in Asgard since he was a child, and Asgard's energy has deeply influenced him. He is already a true Asgardian!

And what could make him completely rid himself of his Frost Giant identity?

The King of Asgard!

"Only by becoming the King of Asgard and by proving yourself to Odin completely, can you rid yourself of that damned monster's identity and never be separated from the Asgard you love!"

Oaks calmly pierced Loki's heart with his words, causing the Trickster God, who could face Earth's mightiest heroes with a smile, to clutch his chest tightly.

But Oaks' mockery didn't stop there.

"But you failed, so you felt lost, alone, and desperate... and that's when you willingly let go of Thor's hand as he tried to pull you and fell onto the Bifrost."

Oaks didn't show any pity for Loki. Compared to the damage done to Earth, what were a couple of words to him?

Moreover, what he said was true, and he wanted Loki to understand that plotting against him wasn't a good idea.

"You met those Chitauri, perhaps even more..."

Oaks keenly noticed Loki's slight tremor, but he remained composed:

"You came here with hatred and anger, swearing to seek revenge on Thor, revenge for the failure of your plan on Earth...

You want to attack Earth and subjugate humans to prove your contemptuous superiority, to deny the lineage of the frost giant, and instead claim to be noble gods from Asgard!"

"Tsk... don't you think that compared to me, you are the one who resembles a wizard who tempts people into corruption?"

Loki fell into silence for a moment with a pale face. Then suddenly, he grinned wickedly.

He shook his shoulder-length hair and raised an eyebrow and looked at Oaks, who seemed to be enjoying nature:

"I don't know if you are a nature-loving druid or a psychologist?"

"In the age of myths, a qualified druid must also be a qualified trickster... I mean, a clergyman."

Oaks casually waved his hand, and the powerful nature energy gathered in his hands. Although he couldn't control them extensively in a short period, they still provided immense support to his spells.

"And clergymen are experts at seeing through people's hearts—although I am not a clergyman, I do have some knowledge of psychology."

"So, why are you telling me all this?"

Loki glanced at the palaces, which were now very close and emitting a radiant glow.

Their speed was not slow, and they were already nearing their destination:

"Are you trying to persuade me to go back and assist your comrade Thor, so that Asgard truly becomes an ally of Earth?"

His eyes darted around, and he grinned again:

"You... are afraid. You're afraid that the last war didn't deter the Chitauri... and other forces.

So, you want Asgard to stand in front of Earth, to shield you from possible retaliation?"

He clapped his hands:

"I have to say, you are much more farsighted than that fool organization on Earth, what was it called... S.H.I.E.L.D. Is it a revelation from nature?

But you're just wishful thinking!"

Loki regained his confident and triumphant expression from when he was on the S.H.I.E.L.D. helicarrier:

"As long as Odin is alive, Asgard will always consider itself the superior nation. They will protect Earth, but don't expect Odin to do it wholeheartedly!"

"Earth has the power to protect itself, and you have experienced it."

Oaks shook his head and patted Loki's shoulder:

"Although you've lived for over fifteen hundred years, it seems you haven't grasped what we mortals can see through. By the way, some of your plans should not involve me and Earth."

Oaks couldn't figure out why Loki was dragging him into all this.

"The great king has one more thing to say to his prince...

'Kingship is not eternal.'

So, since you've traveled around and broaden your horizons, why not think about doing something other than mischief?"

"...Kingship is not eternal? Well said!"

Loki saw Oaks quickening his pace and heading towards the nearby palaces. He raised an eyebrow and said:

"Doesn't that mean I have a great opportunity?"

...

The palace of the Elf Kingdom exuded a radiant glow, showcasing a distinctive natural style different from Asgard.

Giant trees, abundant flowers, and cheerful birds and beasts made the palace resemble a fairyland from a fairy tale.

As representatives of Asgard, Oaks and Loki carried the token from the All-Father Odin and successfully met their target on this journey.

The God of Abundance, Freyr, could be said to be the most attractive extraterrestrial being Oaks had ever seen, without a doubt.

On Earth, there was still a story circulating about Freyr marrying a giantess—a story in which this love deity lost his sword of Freyr.

However, in reality, whether it was the ancient feud between the gods and giants, Freyr's dowry, or the powerful sword of Freyr, none of them played a role in this matter.

What ultimately moved the giantess was Freyr's attractiveness.

This mythological story tells us an eternal truth—

In the face of love, race and ethnicity, power and wealth, coercion and temptation are fragile obstacles.

Only handsomeness is the ultimate truth!

With strange thoughts swirling in his mind, Oaks placed his hand on his chest and saluted the King of Alfheim as he explained his purpose.

However, Freyr was clearly surprised to see Loki appear here.

"Sec... Uh, Third Prince, I didn't expect to see you here...

What does the Father of the Gods want to do?

The conflict between his two sons has just subsided. Is he thinking that neither of you is qualified to be king? So he remembered his eldest son"

After the brief exchange of diplomatic courtesy, Freyr temporarily refrained from discussing their mission with Oaks and instead focused directly on Loki.

He didn't beat around the bush with his words:

"But I think he's right to think that way. After all, you've already failed once. And as for Thor, although he emerged victorious, he still hasn't proven his qualifications to us—

You noticed before that he is not suitable to be the King of Asgard, and we understand it even better."

"Wow..."

Loki raised an eyebrow and glanced proudly at Oaks, who remained calm beside him.

"Freyr, this is the first time I've realized that we speak the same language."
