The Ring

"You want me to marry you?" Damien laughed with nothing gentle in his voice. But she still nodded. Her eyes found him. "You have promised your father that you will take care of me, Damien. And your grandfather too. And to remind you of your promise, I have brought this." She took out the green ring and placed it on her palm.

Damien's face darkened as he looked at the ring. His eyes grew red and cold.

"You dare!"

"I am not forcing you. But I have no other choice. I was waiting for you to realize my importance and marry me with your own will. But it is too late now, I can not bear the emptiness anymore." emptiness! Ha.

"You are sleeping with a new man every night. What kind of emptiness are you talking about?" Hazel's eyes widened. She had never thought that out of everyone, Damien would be the one to insult her first.
