“Guess who I found?”
Reesa stopped the umpteenth once-over she was giving her exhibit to turn in the direction of her mother’s voice. She was fittingly rewarded.
“Tammy! I thought you couldn’t make it until tomorrow.”
Her sister rushed forward and hugged her tightly. “Well, I didn’t think I would, but Kaleb helped with the driving so that cut down on the time.”
“More family than you counted on seeing today, isn’t it?” a smug Ivy asked. As she and Hazel sidled up to them, her declaration was underscored by various aunts, uncles, and cousins entering the gallery. “Not only did I call every Bailey in town, but there are Campbells here from Charleston, and Hazel got some Tylers and Rousseaus out of NOLA.”
Reesa looked in disbelief at the throng of relatives that fortified the general crowd. “You didn’t have to invite all these people. It’s not like I’m a major name.”
