"PRESIDENT Kwon, are you sure we can trust the actress you hired to ruin Chu Wonhee?"
"You mean Choi Sumin?" Kwon Jiwoong asked, annoyed that Park Ruda kept playing on his phone while talking to him. "That actress is quite impressive, you know? Her desperation led her to the right connections that introduced her to the Black Market. That was how we met."
And that was when Jiwoong's plan to drag Chu Wonhee to hell began.
For the record, I don't have any personal grudge against Chu Wonhee. She just happens to get in the way of Lee Seodam and Park Ruda.
Jiwoong wasn't like those crazy fans shipping 'SeoDa' together.
I simply need Lee Seodam and Park Ruda to get together in order for Lee Seodam to become an S-Class Hunter soon.
His goal was plain and simple, right?
"And Choi Sumin is already in our custody," Jiwoong said, knitting his eyebrows. "Why do you ask?"
"Doctor Chen just sent me the result of Chu Wonhee's drug test," Park Ruda said, showing the wide and bright screen of his smartphone to Jiwoong. "The result came in negative."
"What?!"
"Moreover, the result shows Chu Wonhee has already awakened more than two weeks ago– and that was before Choi Sumin "enticed" her to take Forced Awakening drugs."
Jiwoong slammed his hand on the table before standing up. "That useless bitch…!"
He was about to storm out of his office to confront Choi Sumin, who was locked up in the 'secret cell' of the HQ, when the door suddenly burst open.
Hunter Sung, Jiwoong's driver-slash-bodyguard, entered the office in a panic. "President Kwon!"
"What?" Jiwoong asked. He didn't want to admit this, but the panicked look on his bodyguard's face made him quite nervous. "What happened?"
"Miss Chu's friends are here…"
He scoffed. "Then just ask them to leave just like how you threatened Chu Wonhee's legal representatives to leave the HQ."
Hunter Sung gulped hard, his face pale. "President Kwon, Miss Chu's friends brought two dangerous people with them."
Once again, Jiwoong scoffed. "The most dangerous person in the country is already locked up in the basement of my building," he said arrogantly. "Who else could possibly scare me, huh?"
***
"HEY, KWON Jiwoong– is APA HQ fireproof?"
Graham?
Jiwoong clenched his hands tight while looking up at Graham– the red-haired master of the Summer Guild, a member of the original Big 4– who was suspended in the air.
That was the first thing he saw when he stepped out of APA HQ.
Why is that brat here?!
Graham had two huge balls of red flame floating above his palms, grinning while looking down at Jiwoong with his glowing yellow-orange eyes. The original S-Class Hunter had the audacity to threaten APA while wearing his Hunter uniform.
"Have you lost it, Hunter Graham?" Jiwoong snapped at the young man. "Do you need me to recommend you to a good Guide, huh?"
"Ah, don't worry. Ahn Kisoo is still doing a good job keeping me sane," Graham said, laughing. "If I have already lost my mind, then your beloved building would have already gone down in flames before you even notice my presence."
He didn't want to admit this, but Graham's threat wasn't empty.
Now that Hwang Frost is already out of commission, Graham reigns as the current #1 Hunter in the country.
Jiwoong's hatred for the Big 4 only grew bigger at the moment.
But he couldn't afford to antagonize Graham right now, so he had no choice but to appease that Korean-American bastard.
"Hunter Graham, let's use words. Did APA offend you in any way?"
"It's not me whom you offended this time," Graham said playfully. "But a close
Dongsaeng?
Graham has a close dongsaeng aside from Guide Ahn Kisoo?
"I'm not Graham-ssi's "close dongsaeng," but he's talking about me."
Jiwoong's eyes landed on the handsome yet sleazy-looking young man standing in front of him as if he had been waiting there all this time. "And who are you?"
"My name is Gong Yool, and I'm Chu Wonhee's friend."
Tsk.
Jiwoong was outside the building, hence he maintained a polite stance. "The result of Miss Chu's drug test hasn't come out yet," he lied with a straight face. "Miss Chu fell asleep after taking some tests, so you can't see her at the moment."
Gong Yool scoffed. "Don't give me that crap."
Jiwoong, the president of APA, had only received respect and admiration from all the people that he had met in his life.
Only the Big 4 had shown him disrespect so far.
Hence, he couldn't believe that a mere Civilian cursed right in front of his face.
This humiliation, I won't forget it!
"I'm sorry, but you cannot meet Miss Chu at the moment," Jiwoong said firmly, clenching his hands tight in order to keep himself calm. "Once the result is out, then I'll inform you right away–"
"That sounds suspicious, Kwon Jiwoong."
It wasn't Gong Yool.
This time, those words were spoken by a familiar person.
Jiwoong's eyes widened in shock when he recognized the person marching towards him.
Ah, he also recognized Do Ahyeon– Chu Wonhee's personal bodyguard.
But his eyes were focused on the person talking to him.
"Why aren't you letting Chu Wonhee's friend and legal representatives meet her?"
Jiwoong knitted his eyebrows. "Ryung Dae, are you also here for Chu Wonhee?"
Chef Ryung Dae was a world-renowned chef known for turning monster meat into delicious and nutritious dishes. He was one of the people who prevented the country from starving after the Outbreak.
Needless to say, Chef Ryung Dae was a very influential person in the Awakened World.
If I wronged Chef Ryung Dae in any way, he might stop supplying food and special ingredients to APA. So, I must be careful of what I say.
Chef Ryung Dae crossed his arms over his chest. "My dongsaeng needed help, so I offered my hand to him."
The 'dongsaeng' the chef pointed out was Do Ahyeon.
Now Jiwoong was really getting nervous.
Graham would no doubt blow up the APA HQ if he said the wrong thing, while Chef Ryung Dae would stop doing business with them.
Chu Wonhee, just who are your friends…?
"Kwon Jiwoong, I heard you took away something that belongs to me?"
Huh?
Jiwoong's knees began to shake when a person suddenly appeared out of thin air.
Only one person in the entire country could do that.
"Yeon Soobin, what are you doing here?" Jiwoong asked nervously. "And I didn't take anything from you."
Yeon Soobin was an elite chaebol even before the Outbreak.
First things first– Yeon Soobin had royal blood in him. He also acted like a gentleman most of the time. Hence, he was also known as the 'Crown Prince' in high society.
But he's a two-faced bastard.
Yeon Soobin was the grandson of the former South Korean president who awakened as an A-Class Hunter along with his grandfather during the Outbreak.
Although Yeon Soobin didn't awaken as a combat Hunter, the ability he had received was great.
"Never mind that," Jiwoong said, changing the subject. "I thought you were going to lock up yourself in your Workshop because you'd be busy creating new S-Grade weapons?"
Yes, S-Grade weapons.
Yeon Soobin was a Hunter with the ability to create weapons from the by-products of the monsters that the Hunters would bring back from the successfully raided dungeons. Hence, it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that Korea's entire military force relied on Yeon Soobin and his weapons.
Moreover, Yeon Soobin can also make weapons that even Civilians can use. And he makes a lot of money from that alone.
"Why are you talking about work as soon as you see my face, Kwon Jiwoong?"
Jiwoong scoffed at Yeon Soobin's question. "Of course, I'll ask you about work since you're the Vice President of APA, Yeon Soobin."
But Yeon Soobin only cared about making weapons, so all the paperwork went to Jiwoong.
"Don't change the subject," Yeon Soobin said, smiling while his amber eyes glowered. "You're lying to my face now, Kwon Jiwoong?"
Argh.
Jiwoong felt a shiver down his spine when Yeon Soobin "smiled" at him. "I'm not lying, Yeon Soobin. I really didn't steal from you."
"But you took my Hee-ya."
"Hee-ya? What's that?"
"It's a 'who' and not a 'what,' you cockroach."
What the…?
Jiwoong's heart almost dropped to the floor when he saw a group of elite Hunters wearing white lab coats over their pink suits come out of a black limousine one by one, then they surrounded him like a barricade.
Only one guild in the country had that kind of uniform.
The Spring Guild...!
"Where did you take our Hee-ya?"
That question came from Jang Semi– master of the Spring Guild, one of the Big 4.
She was the only chaebol who awakened as an S-Class Hunter during the Outbreak.
Jang Semi didn't awaken as a combat Hunter, but the skills that she had received from the System were special.
Only Jang Hanne can make healing potions that don't have a cooldown time, among others.
"I don't know any 'Hee-ya…'" Jiwoong trailed off, and then he suddenly felt like cold water was poured over him. "A-Are you talking about Miss Chu Wonhee?"
No way, right?
Yeon Soobin and Jang Semi smiled and answered at the same time. "Chu Wonhee is my baby sister."
What…?
Yeon Soobin, the 'Crown Prince' who supplied S-Grade weapons for APA and South Korea's army...
Jang Semi, the chaebol S-Class Hunter who supplied high-quality healing potions for them...
And the two are saying Chu Wonhee is their baby sister?!
If Jiwoong turned Yeon Soobin and Jang Semi into his enemies, then APA would be gone.
Both the country's economy and military defense would collapse at the same time…
"In case you're wondering, yes– Chu Wonhee is my biological sister," Yeon Soobin said, "smiling" at Jiwoong. "She's my half-sister, but I love her wholeheartedly."
"That's the same case for me," Jang Semi said, her yellow eyes glowing. "So, Kwon Jiwoong, where is our baby sister?"
Jiwoong's knees buckled as he broke out in a cold sweat.
What have I done…?

sola_cola's thoughts on this chapter: Hi. I requested a name/title change for this story. It will go from 'All Eyes on the Exclusive S-Class Guide' to 'My Life as the First S-Class Guide.' What do you think? The current title is a bit mouthful, so I thought of changing it. Though the new title is still long, I think it rolls off my tongue better. LOL
