Ties Impossible to Severe

Evan was pleased at how the first two maids looked so terrified as they shot their arrows at him, which miserably failed. He watched Sienna with curious eyes as she took her stance.

He noticed that she didn't look as nervous as the first two, and the way she positioned herself made it clear that it wasn't her first time holding a bow and arrow.

The woman surely knew a thing or two about archery which was unusual for someone from the lower class, thought Evan.

Archery was considered a sport in high society and was often taught to the children from wealthy families, but the poor people were barely educated, so they didn't have the privilege.

Sienna held the arrow, her eyes locking with Evan's. Despite the distance, she could clearly see the devious smile painting his lips and it irked her. How could he treat servants as mere playthings?

One. Two. She mentally counted.

Three. And she released the arrow.
