The Duke's Stallion

The day in Darthmore began with a gentle rain that lasted for half an hour before the sun rose on the horizon. Today, Lemiel arranged an activity for him and Davi to bond after days of always being out for work. The father and son were going horseback riding around the estate.

"I have never ridden a horse before, Papa," said Davi while Lemiel helped him with his gear.

"And that's why I'm teaching you. You know, it is necessary for a man to know how to ride a horse."

The stableman brought two horses, one a black stallion, while the other was smaller.

"This is Pete, Davi," said Lemiel, running his palm on the smaller horse. "He is my gift to you."

Davi approached the brown horse whose size was perfect for a child of his age. "He is beautiful."

"Of course, my son deserves only beautiful things."
