"It is a shame. It would be nice to have you work in the council so I could see you even at work," the vampire remarked as he stopped in front of a particular rack. He turned to Sienna who stood a few steps behind and added, "Having my food within arm's reach, wouldn't that be nice?"

The vampire and his dark humor, thought Sienna with annoyance. All she could do was shoot him a subtle glare.
