Any excuse would do.

Glory's father chuckled as memories flooded his mind.

“Have you forgotten?”

“Forgotten what?”

“On your 12th birthday. King threw a big tantrum, insisting on following Dad back to the Villa. He even ruined two of your cakes.”

“Yeah, I remember. But he was always like that. There was also a time when he insisted that I must give him my toy. You made me give it to him and bought me a new one.”

“After he left with your Grandfather, he never went back home. When Dad asked his men to return King to his father, three days later, King ran away from home. Until today, nobody knows how he made it back to the Villa. Thereafter, your Grandfather allowed him to stay. And it was because of him that your Grandfather allowed the other grandkids to spend weekends at the Villa instead of random visits.”

“Wow! He was really something.” Glory exclaimed.
