When Anurak was young, his father became a toyboy for a gang leader and even abandoned his family for another woman.

Once they were done eating, Dao said she had no math questions to solve and that Anurak should rest. 


While she was cleaning up the plates they used, Anurak joined her in the kitchen and watched as she cleaned up. When Dao was done, she dried everything with a hand towel before arranging her flask and other things inside her bag. Under Anurak's gaze, she was rattled but managed to keep everything together. The worst part of it was that she wanted to belch so badly because she was overfed, but she dared not. 


“I will be leaving now. Make sure to rest up.” Dao said to Anurak, unable to face him properly. 


“Dao, thanks,” Anurak said softly. 


She nodded shyly. Her heart was jittery. Please don't bring it up! She prayed in her heart. She really wouldn't be able to bear it if he said anything about that night.
