They soon arrived at the Sunny track and Dao was led to a room where she found King already seated and waiting for her. 


On the way here, Dao had done a lot of crying and pleading. Her captors neither spoke to her nor beat her. They only restrained her whenever she started making trouble. After thinking about how they were being careful with her, she figured out that maybe her baby would be safe. 


When she saw King seated in a lone chair with a champagne flute and his phone, looking cold, detached, and bored, her heart quivered. Would he really let her child live? 


Payu led her to a seat facing King and served her a bottle of water before standing behind King. 


For a good five minutes, nobody said anything. King didn't even acknowledge her presence. She wanted to speak, but a voice in her head warned her to stay silent. 


“You are pregnant.” King finally looked up and stated matter of factly.
