When Anurak was young, his father became a toyboy for a gang leader and even abandoned his family for another woman.

At this point, it was just three weeks to the exams and roughly a month to the end of the semester. 


When Anurak returned from the party, he buried himself in his books, using them as an excuse to avoid King. He stopped accepting King's breakfasts and ignored his calls and messages. If it was possible to avoid New and Dao, he would have gotten rid of them too. He didn't want to think and he also detested everyone's company. He wished to be alone. When he managed to get rid of them and was alone, he couldn't rest easily and had developed bags under his eyes. New tried to probe him many times, but he didn't budge. 


Luckily, Dao suddenly announced that she wouldn't be showing up until after the exams as she needed to study and discuss with her coursemates. Anurak was more than happy to hear this. 


Completely infuriated, King showed up at his door on the third day after the party.
