It was a very long night for the two boys. One was brainstorming his escape plans, while the other was tossing around in bed, dreading the unknown.
Come morning, Anurak wasn't close to knowing what to do, while King was filled with anxiety.
By the time Anurak finally dozed off, it was almost daylight. He slept until noon when he woke up to meet King watching him sleep. He was seated on a single couch placed by the bedroom window.
If that wasn't weird, Anurak would be damned.
“You didn't take your pills from last night. How do you feel?" King asked in the soft gentle tone that Anurak was now familiar with, even in his dreams.
Stealing a glance at the table, he saw that last night's food tray was gone and was replaced by a new one. He ate the food but ignored the pills because he didn't know what they were for.
