Chapter 64: The One Who Knows

"No, no. I don't think that is the case," I answered Gavin with a nervous laugh. "Even my brothers remember changing my diapers and stuff. I could not have been adopted."

"Babies get adopted too, not just older children. You know that," Gavin said. His eyes held sympathy. "I'm just throwing it out there, I'm not saying that you are adopted. It's all just a little suspicious."

I have never even considered the possibility of myself being adopted. I mean, I was obviously the black sheep in my family, not really fitting in. But I never doubted not being my mother and father's daughter.

I mean I did hold a resemblance to my mother, and I looked similar to my brothers too. I looked nothing like my father though, but I never thought too much about it.

"Do you think that maybe I had a different father to my brothers? Just like Zero?" I asked Gavin.
