Evan Villarino always saw himself as normal and bland, he was neither smart nor stupid, he was good with sports but not better than others, his attractiveness was just right for him not to be considered unattractive. 

He felt as though he was a side character in another person’s movie, 

he has always heard the famous saying, “You are the main character of your own life.” 

He could not help but disagree, he never wished to live an eventful life as he found peace with his current living. He fully accepted his destiny in life to be the middle ground of every single little thing, ready to spend his days in the sidelines, that is, 

until that fateful day came, where his so called peaceful life changed.

Transmigrated as a Monster

Ever since our trip to the village market, numerous rumors already started circulating around the area. Some good while some are also negative. From being said to have the beauty of a Goddess as a daughter to a rumor of two old couple taking in the daughter of a demon. Ben even had to chase out some people from the forest for protesting outside the cabin spouting things such as, "That thing will bring misfortune to our village!!!"

I felt quite bad for everything that has happened but the two of them only kept on reassuring me that everything will be fine.

That routine of waking up studying and helping out around the cabin turned into a habit. Without even noticing, a year had already passed.

I've already familiarized myself with the goings in this world. My ability to speak has already improved, I was able to squeeze out some words from time to time.

My understanding of this world was unexpectedly easy to grasp.

There were 4 regions in this world based on the texts i've read. In these 4 regions all had different people, culture, environment, and way of living.

The region I am in right now is Region 4. If I were to walk towards north, I will be able go reach Region 3 and so on.

I've tried asking Ben and Sally and even the shop owner on why it is only north. All they gave me as a reply was an expression saying, "Is that not the obvious?"

My hobby of reading did not only include information about this world, but I also took and interest with the Folklore and Fareytails that circulated around the regions. Everything were different in their own way, but one certain detail I noticed a detail where all these tales were the same, was that a certain entity shall bring disaster onto this world, and only, one being of glory will be able to stop the disaster that shall befall onto the world.

"As the world begins to be enveloped by darkness, the doors of hell opening onto the world of man. A Being of Glory blessed by the Gods of Land, Sky, and Sea shall stop thy disaster to come forth."

The tales all had their own version of disaster. Some saying it will be a dragon, while some saying it will be the world itself crumbling.

Another interesting fact I found out about this world is that, magical abilities existed. Though it exists no one in Region 4 are able to have it. Those from the upper regions all have their numbers of people able to make use of such abilities.

After learning about this world, my search continued onwards on finding out the meaning of my appearance. I've already read every single book in the cabin, I still have some not read in the library but with me not being able to walk around the village peacefully, Ben had to resort to bringing me dozens of texts from his trips from the market. Yet each text, nothing was said to serve as an explanation for my appearance.

I was already impatient enough. That is when I came upon the conclusion to venture to the village myself.
