Chapter 9

The first one of the three to get their hands on the crystal was the girl, but before she could even break off a piece of the crystal, her entire disappeared in an instance, blood splattered all over, yet the second even a drop of blood was to land on the crystal it simply disappeared.

"!!!"

The girl shrieked in pain as she used her other hand to grab hold of her other arm which could not stop bleeding.

Normally and being who has reached even a low rank in the heavenly realm will be safe from injuries that would harm a normal human, but in front of a sealed crystal in the home of a supreme deity even a high-ranking spirit could get injured.

The girl dropped down to the pool.

The two who were also just about to touch the crystal did not even dare continue, they hastily dropped down to the girl.

"What happened?!" The rookie shouted.

The girl climbed out of the water and dropped down instantly to the ground as she reached the surface. She gave the two a look of fear and despair, "My arm... it won't heal!'

They all focused on her arm which still kept on spewing blood. However, before they could even think of a solution, the girl who was sprawled on the ground was grabbed back towards the sky.

Now, on her leg is a chain wrapped tightly. She was held upside down before the chain then pulled closer and closer to the crystal. The only thing she could do was scream and try grabbing the chain with her last remaining hand. But as soon as her hand landed on the chain she yelped out in pain as a burnt mark now appeared on her palm.

Not knowing what else to do she could only look towards the other two who were frozen in fear as they could only look at what could happen next.

"Why the fuck are you all just standing-"

She did not even have enough time to finish her sentence when she was hastily slammed towards the crystal which caused her entire body to simply explode, leaving a few buckets of her blood behind, which then soon fell down onto the pool. The water from the glistening pool turned crimson red for a few seconds when it also instantaneously turned back to its original state.

The two did not even think of investigating the scene as they all ran out of the cave in a hurry, they soon passed by the earlier group they had that stopped them due to the fear on their faces.

"What happened?" One asked.

The two could only look at them in despair and shrugged the worried holds of the other beings and bolted their way out of the cave.

As they reached the exit of the cave and found a place far away, they chanted a few words as a small crow came flying down from the sky. The rookie told the crow everything and ordered it to be sent directly to his master in the heavenly realm.

After taking everything they needed to, the two slumped down to the ground, tired. Ever since they transcended this was surely the first time since then that they ever felt weak and fear.

"What the hell was that?" the rookie asked.

"I don't know, but that cave is in no way a sanctuary for heavenly beings."
