Chapter 15

The Tanned man in front of Sal gazed quietly at him. Letting his Dark eyes gaze at every feature of the white haired boy in front of him. His expression going from a look of curiosity towards amusement.

"My hand." Sal whispered, as Layne was absolutely distracted by his thoughts that he could not catch Sal's words.

Snapping out of his thoughts he slightly tilted his head to the side and lowered his body a bit to get closer to Sal and let out a simple, "Hm?"

This however only made Sal even more embarrassed. With both men being distracted by each of their wildly running imaginations, the group behind Layne could no longer stand seeing the two giving off a particular tension between them.

Elanour who had a sour look on her face looked directly at Layne's hand that still held onto my wrist. She then looked towards the man on his left, without even saying anything, he gladly followed orders.

"In the name of Lord Han, you are to be detained for suspicious behavior."

I looked towards the man who was now behind me, tying up something that seemed to be a rope though there was a small different feel than the ones from my original world.

"Let's hurry to Lord Han and tell him about this matter." Elanour said.

The rope that was tied behind me had a long tail. Just as Elanour was about to reach the end of the tail and be the one to pull me, Layne nudged her hand away and grabbed it himself.

"Huh?" Elanour mumbled. "As this team's leader you of all people should be the one ti lead in front, leave this boy to me." Layne replied. Elanour saw how Layne, yet again did not even glance back at her to say his words and was still focused on Sal's face.

She took a second to glance at Sal as her expression continued to be more bitter.

"Fine, do it your way."

The two men beside her seemed to have noticed her sudden change of attitude.

She then turned around and walked back towards the direction where they all came from earlier. Both men still walked close to her while Layne was holding onto the rope, well if you could say holding, he was more on fiddling with the end of the rope.

He was also walking close to Sal, as if he didn't want Sal to have a hard time catching up with both his hands tied.

The two kept stealing glances at each other during the entire walk in the dark hallway. Luckily, since the two torches the men held were their main light source, the two of them could glance at one another without being caught.

Elanour who walked a few feet ahead of them kept looking back, checking if the two wrre conversing, seeing that they both stayed quite, her mood improved. Not realizing that the two were checking each other out with every chance they get.
