Chapter 1

«TEXAS'S ROAD»

With a long sigh, I rested my head against the car window, sparing one glance at the cars and people passing by, until it was nothing but a blur.

For the past two years, this has basically been my life.

My heart clenched at the memory of my parents. I closed my eyes in attempt to forget it, but the memories of them kept on pooling inside my head. No matter how many years have passed, I could still remember their death like it was yesterday.

My mom died immediately she gave birth to me while my dad...I was so naive when he died, so young. I was carrying so much hope within me that things were going to be okay...that the doctors were going to make me better but no, they killed him to save me...just the way they killed my mom....I shut my eyes tight feeling my heart clenched in pain...

"Ma'am! We're here." The chauffeur's voice echoed, snapping me out of my daze.

I took a deep breath and opened my eyes. Picking my backpack and headset, I pushed the door open and stepped outside.

"Have a nice day ma'am." The chauffeur said and I nodded slightly, pushing the door shut.

Turning to leave, I placed my headset on my head and walked into the crowded.

«SILVERLAKE'S GATE»

A blue Lexus Rx stopped in front of the Silverlake College.

"Thanks bro." A certain girl seated in the passenger seat yelled, opening the car door.

A young man seated at the driver's car smirked. "Have a nice day baby sis!"

"Don't call me that." The girl yelled puckering her lower lip out. "It's sounds like you're speaking to a child, am eighteen not some silly small girl."

"Yah still a child, litte sis." The young man grinned infuriating the girl.

"You know what? Go f**k yahself." She glared at him and slammed the door hard. "I take back my thanks, don't thanks." She hissed and walked away.

The young man inside the car chuckled at her cuteness and drove away.

"What an annoying a*shole!" The girl cussed picking her phone from her bag and taking it to the app, Instagram and also immediately starting her live video.

"Hey guys!" She smiled flashing her dimples to the public. "Yah girl, Jessy's here with all the updates and you know.." she winked boyishly. "Y'all know today's the actual f**king first day of our last year in this god-damned college and there's gonna be so much drama, but don't worry about anything cuz I gat y'all covered."

"Jessy!" A girl called from behind Jessy.

Jessy smiled, already seeing who it was on her phone. "Yo people! Mah sweetie potatoes's here...yah wanna greet her?" She grinned looking back at the girl who called her and also directing the phone's screen to the girl.

"Hey cousin!" The girl smiled waving her hand.

"Yo cuzzo! What's up?" Jessy asked still making a video of them.

The girl grinned. "Just wanted to say good morning to you on the first day of our last year in college."

"Oh Yeah! Yah can say that. You too boo, good morning to yah. Wow! The public are also saying good morning to you.." She grinned showing the screen to her cousin as the comments popped in rapidly.

The girl's eyes dilated in shock. "Wow! That's a lot of good morning."

"That's nothing, Juliette." Jessy smirked.

"Hmmm..someone gat so much followers."

"Hello! Not much...I just have 2.9M followers." Jessy smirked vauntingly.

"Sh*t! Are you kidding me?" Juliette mouth dropped in awe.

"Hey! I don't kid, I'm dead serious."

"Nice one for you."

"Yeah! Thanks. I gotta go, take care. I need to get the face of every single motherf**ker in this god-damned school in my f**king video."

"Wow! Good luck on that."

"Thanks. Bye yah!" Jessy waved and started moving away to another direction. "Yo fams! Am back..." She paused suddenly as her eyes cringed at the sight of a girl. "Seriously! She's here?" She sighed softly and hissed. "Our school loner came today and as usual, she's dressed in her usual pullover and baggy trouser. What a miserable way to dress. A complete eye sore!" She shook her head.

"Whatever. That shouldn't stop us, right?" Jessy smiled. "Now let's go get those faces." She winked and walked deeper into the school.

«CHEMISTRY CLASS»

"Okay. People, you will be having your practical on Friday. I really hope you guys will read your books." Mrs Lewis said and the whole class groaned out in agony.

"That's final. Back to the topic, psychoanaleptic was created by..." The teacher was rudely cut off by the door banging open.

All eyes fell on the group of girls who caused the distraction. "And why are you late to my class?" Mrs Lewis's eyes narrowed.

"We're really sorry ma'am." One of the girls apologized bowing her head slightly.

""We were called by the P.E master.." Another added.

"Okay. But this must never repeat itself, is that understood?"

"Yes ma'am." They chorused and walked to their seat.

Mrs Lewis nodded and continued her lecture while the whole class fixed their gaze at her.

After thirty minutes, the door banged opened again and Mrs Lewis groaned angrily, facing whoever just came inside

"Did you even check the time at all? This class will soon end and you are just strutting in??" She narrowed her eyes at the girl who just entered.

The girl, who couldn't hear a thing Mrs Lewis was saying, started shrugging and nodding as she walked to an empty seat at the back.

"When I am speaking to someone, I expect an answer!" The whole class flinched back in their seat as Mrs Lewis raised her voice.

The girl shrugged again as she dropped her backpack on the desk and stopped the music she was listening to before she removed the earpud from her ears and pulled out a chair to seat.

👥Jeez!

👥Don't tell me she couldn't hear a word Mrs Lewis just said.

👥Wow!

👥Gosh. I just hate this girl, Elena or whatever she calls herself.

👥She's rude!

👥How could she listen to music while Mrs Lewis was speaking to her?

👥Rude!

Elena raised her head up and looked at the whole class before setting her gaze on Mrs Lewis.
