With laughing eyes, Jessie Grain raised the gun in her hand, aiming at her own target as well.
"Wanna compete?"
Tilting her head, Jessie Grain asked Flossie Wright.
"Of course."
She answered decisively, Flossie Wright stared at the sight, pressing the trigger without hesitation.
Bullets, one after another, struck the bullseye of a target a kilometer away.
Without a single miss.
Noon.
Flossie Wright was a step late to the canteen, and just after she had served herself some food, she was stopped by someone she hadn't expected.
"Flossie Wright."
Blocking her path, Franklin Cody called out to her earnestly.
Flossie Wright tilted her head and gave him a look, "Something wrong?"
"Yeah."
Franklin Cody nodded seriously.
Used to his expression, Flossie Wright didn't mind and said bluntly, "Go ahead."
"Give this to her." Franklin Cody handed over a wrapped gift box.
Scanning it, Flossie Wright was slightly puzzled.
