"W..what in Heaven's name are you doing?" Kaylan whispers to him. Her voice was hoarse and her throat burnt at the impact of pain piling in her heart but Ray acted as if she never existed at the moment and continued to address the members.

"She killed her mate which is the most sacred Wolf law that deserves death even though the Moon goddess would strike but it got worse when she almost killed my mate.

I was willing to let go and still chose her as my Luna despite everything because I thought I –" his voice cracked and if anyone was listening to him right now, they would buy the act of emotional display he was creating.

"I loved her but she went as far as attacking my mate and threatening to hurt other mates in the pack."

Hot balls of tears rolled down Kaylan's eyes as she gritted her teeth and sank her claw into her flesh to keep her from yelling or tearing someone's flesh to pieces.

"Then she should be punished!" Someone yelled, "She's crazy for thinking to hurt our mate because she hurt hers."

"No, no please I can't be rash with her." Ray tried to calm them down with such a pretense that seemed bright in Kaylan's eyes.

"I cannot just punish my Luna, I'm sure she will learn from her mistakes. I can only make her stay in solitude to reflect on her actions for a while. She's not like this , I don't know what came over her." He told the crowd who were confused by his words. If he wasn't going to punish her, why did he call them in the first place?

Being a Luna doesn't guarantee anyone's safety after committing a huge sacrilege.

Kaylan on her part was boiling, she didn't know how to react, what to say at Ray's sudden behavior. Why was he doing all of this in a twinkle?

"She will be in the secluded dungeon for just three months to reflect on her actions, I just can't disrespect you all by just taking her there without your consent!"

Ray said and Kaylan chuckled bitterly.

"What have I gotten myself into and why is it taking just now to realize that I've been stupid and blind all these years?" She murmured and asked herself.

"I don't think it's fair to Luna." A little girl of Seven years whose mother Kaylan had cured of her underlying health issues days ago spoke up.

"Luna is no murderer" she voiced out again but they all asked her to keep quiet, overpowering her with their authority and towering figure.

Kaylan who was supposed to feel scared at what Ray just did was rather angry. She wasn't even scared of death even if she was given such a sentence. She was just pissed, so extremely pissed that all the sacrifices she made to be free and to live happily ever after with the one she cherished was just a nightmare. It was a waste and might even be treated worse than how she was treated back at Crescent Star Pack.

"I hope you learn from your mistakes, Kaylan. I'll be waiting for you."

Ray told her as if he was the sweetest husband who pitied her dilemma and she smiled back at him, moving extremely fast and swiftly to land a hot searing slap to his face which earned a gasp from the crowd.

"Fuck you, Ray! This game you just started with me will be the last you'll ever try with anyone. Thank you for making me look so stupid even when you don't deserve anything good."

She yelled so loudly, her heart was in pieces and so irreplaceable and Ray gritted his teeth so hard. He didn't want to hurt her, jeez! He had no plans to but to get rid of her as per her mate's advice as she would continue to be a threat to his authority.

His mate was pissed that she saw her on high standards and no matter what she contributed to his life, she had no right to make him feel that way because he remains the Alpha.

Kaylan's heart was in a torrent of pain, anger, or regret but she didn't let it reflect on her face or her physical self.

She's seen and received punishment far worse than this.

It's funny how she was back to the situation she was running from years ago and this one wasn't even inflicted on the brown demons of Star Crescent Pack but by the person she trusted the most.

A bitter pain of laughter rips through her as she bit her lips in the cold and dark dungeon she was kept in.

From being just a prisoner in the dungeon, she was gradually becoming a slave, an object of ridicule to satisfy the maids who had been envious of her position.

The dungeon door trembled from the impact of the keys trying to unlock the padlock but Kaylan didn't move. Maybe it's another day of working or the day is finally bright as she couldn't discern between morning or night in the dungeon she was thrown into.

"Get up, we have a lot to do this week Luna."

Natalia, the Chief Maid commanded and she bit her lips from cursing. She'd been starving, her stomach was growling in anger and the worms in her stomach had formed a war against her by promising to tear her flesh to pieces and all they could tell me was to get up to work.

"I'm sure you're not deaf Luna, get up and move to the kitchen. This week is a big week to celebrate and we need all kinds of help as Alpha Ray is getting married to his mate." She uttered the bombshell and her body shook in a terrific dread.

That bastard, this was his plan all along! to use and toss her aside like some garbage so that his mate would take over right?

Fuck him to think that she will let it happen, she looked at the maid and gave her a very confusing bright smile despite the pain burning in her heart.

"I'll be more than glad to help."
