Garnet POV
Holding her mate, preferably for another three days when they could beg, borrow, steal, or get Kellam to order them, would have to wait. He had helped her save everyone, especially her brother, and she loved him to pieces for it. She broke away from his comforting scent.
“Cyran,” she cried out, breathless. “Tulaska.”
Jiro’s fingers stroked her hair. “They should be safely outside the temple with the healers. Tulaska is in a lot better condition to start with than Cyran. But she got hit hard by the Dark Goddess’ power.”
“She’s a fighter, though, isn’t she?”
Jiro rested his forehead against hers, which felt as soothing as when their noses touched in wolf form. “If there ever was one. We should go see her, and check on all of our people as well as our allies.”
Dane’s hand landed gently on Garnet’s shoulder and stayed there. “Not to pry you two apart, but that’s a good idea my baby brother just had.”
