I kept repeating the scene in my mind while reaching my house and even while having dinner. But the problem was, my face had been red the entire time!
Arken Sager had frickin hugged me! That was definitely not good for my heart. Calm down, Lysha.
I ate dinner controlling all my emotions so that Mrs. Evor didn't suspect anything. And believe me it was the hard.
After finishing the dinner I dashed upstairs into my room and slammed the door shut. I dived into my bed on my stomach as my face crashed the pillow. My heart couldn't stop racing!
What was happening to me? I sat up and slightly slapped my cheeks.
This day couldn't have been better. First I turned out to be Lysha Evor then I made friends and let me tell you I didn't have any friends as Kim Lysha. And now the male lead of my favorite novel had become my friend. Or let's say my best friend because well...he said 'let's be how we used be five years ago.'
I sighed. Let's make everything work and change Lysha Evor's ending! But first I had to stop thinking about the hug before my feelings get out of hand.
I heard a knock on my room's door. I jumped up too surprisingly. I walked towards the door and pulled it open to reveal Mrs. Evor standing at the doorway.
"Lysha dear, can we talk for a moment?" she asked. Well, my mom never came to talk to me in the other world.
I smiled, "Of course mom, come in."
I let her in as she sat on the bed and signalled me to sit beside her. I did as I was told.
"Lysha, are you okay?" she asked.
Well I knew where it was coming from. "Yeah, I am fine, why?"
"You seem to be very different from how you were yesterday."
I pretended to be confused.
She cleared her throat, "What I mean to say is that, have you finally...you know...moved on?"
"Oh," that's all that came out of my mouth.
"It's okay if you want to drop the subject."
"No," I looked at her with seemingly sad eyes. "It's okay, I really thought about what I was doing last night. And I came to a conclusion that what I've been doing to the people around me is just so...cruel. So I've decided to change. No, actually I am trying to be myself again. Just like the Lysha five years ago."
Mrs. Evor's eyes widened. "You seem to have really grown up, huh?" She tugged a strand of hair behind my ear. "You had become so different after your dad left us. I had lost hope if I'd ever see my dear Lysha go back to how she was."
My heart clenched at those words. So that's what a mother's love felt like. My mom from the other world was always in her part time job. I barely saw her and when I did she gave a look that spoke that she never wanted me.
I didn't get why Lysha Evor never acknowledged her mother for loving her so much. But I'd make that happen. I'd provide her the love and care she truly deserves.
"Mom, I got into the music club," I said.
"You did! That's great! I am very happy for you, Lysha." She smiled saying those words.
"Thanks."
"Well, it's getting late, you should get some sleep. You've got school, right?" Mrs. Evor said as she kissed my forehead, "Good night."
She was about to leave when I said one last thing, "Mom?"
She turned.
"Thank you for always being here."
Her eyes widened. I could see how happy she was hearing those words and I felt happy too.
"And I'll never leave." She said and smiled. She exited the room closing the door.
My eyes watered. I don't get why Lysha Evor's dad's death was bothering me so much. Yeah, I felt bad but I wasn't the one attached to him so much that I'd cry. What was happening to me?
