Mrs. Johnson emerged from the kitchen after washing her hands and saw her beloved pet dog lying on Amanda Smith's lap, her brow furrowing in displeasure, "Baby! Come here!!"
As the little pug heard Mrs. Johnson's voice, it immediately stood up from Amanda's lap. Animals are highly sensitive to changes in human emotions, and it seemed to understand its owner's displeasure, casting a reluctant glance at Amanda before jumping off the couch and running toward Mrs. Johnson.
Mrs. Johnson bent down to pick up the little pug, tidying its fur messed up by Amanda, while making an insinuating remark, "Baby, remember, you can't just seek affection from anyone, you know? Some people may appear innocent, but who knows how dark their hearts are! Hogging a place without doing anything, who knows what they're really thinking!"
Amanda was already in a bad mood, and upon hearing Mrs. Johnson's veiled criticism, she retorted coldly, "I wonder whom you are referring to as hogging a place."
