Chapter 17: The Card Soldier and The Stone Bridge

Tang Zheng didn't fire his gun rashly. He glanced back and saw Lin Weiguo had climbed up to three-quarters of the way, but his energy was almost exhausted. This made it increasingly difficult for him to keep his balance. Now every step he took needed dozens of seconds.

Alice stood up.

Chuckle, Alice had a odd smile on her face. Suddenly, she threw the kitchen knife in her hand and took out a deck of poker cards from her apron. She flicked her fingers and the deck turned into a fan shape and fell on the ground.

The power was so great that she was pushed back several steps. However, the real trouble was the poker cards. After they fell on the ground, a burst of black mist surged like a tide and two poker soldiers emerged.

These soldiers were bending over, their faces skeletal, wearing red hoods. Many red heart patterns were printed on their bloody and dirty bodies. They had no weapons, but their sharp teeth and claws were enough to tear any creature apart.
