Chapter 26 – Gunnery Training

Third person POV

The next day was the same training, but by Monday, it's the day for Akira and Hachi's gunnery training. When they heard that from Toshi, both youngsters are very surprised because they didn't expect that. But, they accepted it as a part of their training to be junior detectives.

At the agency's shooting range, they were given two standard-issued pistols as a beginner weapon for them, and Toshi teaches them how to properly hold them, as well as how to properly aim and fired them towards a target with accuracy. He then demonstrates it by shooting a red and white circle target while sharing his experience as an ex-soldier for the British military. In response to that, Akira and Hachi are once again very surprised to hear that fact.

 "Woah…"

 "I did not know that."

Hachi then said to Akira in a low voice, "Man, he must have a lot of experience as an ex-soldier."

"Yes, Hachi-kun," replied Akira back in a low voice. "Soldiers tend to have a lot of experience in combat."

But, both Akira and Hachi are very amazed by it afterwards.

After that demonstration, Toshi said to them, "Now you two try."

Akira and Hachi did so, wearing the necessary gear for their shooting try-out, before grabbing their standard pistols.

Then, following Toshi's instructions, they aimed their guns at the other red and white circle targets and pulled the trigger, shooting them.

But then, their accuracy is very low so they missed the targets for the most part.

Toshi sees that and told them, "Aim it at the center of the target."

He then helped them how to do it by readjusting their aiming in their hands and arms, before pulling the trigger and shoots the target perfectly at the center.

Akira and Hachi quickly learns from it, and they said to Toshi that they will practice more and do their best.

"Okay, that's good," Toshi responded in agreement complete with a British accent.

At this point, Akira and Hachi started to enjoy this new career slowly.
