"You should see your new home".
"Already"?
I asked as soon as I heard what he said.
"That's not how this is supposed to be, I haven't told Jason about it yet".
I said feeling a little bit concerned.
"You don't have to worry, the chairman has filled him in on everything. Besides, you don't have to move in today. You can move in during the weekend. All you have to do, is know where you live".
I nodded relating to what he was saying.
Nadia was already convinced with what the lawyer was saying meanwhile, Jason did not like the idea at all.
"What did you just say? Her things have been cleared"?
He asked Miguel who was standing right in front of him.
A few minutes ago, Jason just came back from concluding a deal and he was extremely stressed. He has been up and about for a while now and it was beginning to tell on him.
He had strained eyes because he lacked sleep but he did not want the fatigue to show on him.
He had so much work to do and he still needed to deal with Melissa. He did not want to make any mistakes and he knew getting on the prime minister's bad side was not a smart move.
It was already a good thing that the prime minister let the marriage thing die down. He could not do anything to make him more angry.
He sat on his chair in the office looking like he would pass out at any moment. With his eyes closed and his head placed backward, he decided to take a quick rest before his next meeting.
He was already dozing off when he heard a knock on the door and slowly opened his eyes. Soon enough, the door was opened and Miguel walked in.
"I'm sorry to disturb you, boss".
He said and Jason sat up properly to hear what he had to say.
"It's fine, what is it"?
He asked calmly, placing his hand on the desk in front of him.
"Miss Nadia has begun working..."
Jason already knew that so that did not come as a surprise to him but what his bodyguard said next was what captured his attention.
"... and she is about to move out".
He concluded and the man who was just sitting on the chair looking tired and lifeless immediately looked alert as he raised his head to look at Miguel.
"What did you say"?
He asked agitated but still calm.
"Apparently, the order came from the chairman himself, and her things have already been moved".
Jason's eyes opened even more.
"What did you just say? Her things have been cleared"?
Miguel said nothing as he was sure his boss had heard him the first time. Jason stood up and began walking out.
"Where are you going sir? You have a meeting in the next thirty minutes".
Jason kept walking out as he said.
"I'll make it".
Miguel already knew his boss would not want to postpone this meeting or send someone else in his stead but he could see the stress written all over his face.
"Should I not have told him"?
He asked himself and immediately followed his boss out.
They got to the first floor and as usual, the ladies in the company could not help but stare as they admired the men walking out.
"Dear Lord, I know I can't have the boss but you could at least give me the secretary".
A lady said.
That's right, Miguel was not just a bodyguard, he was also Jason's secretary.
Jason did not like too many people around him as he had a hard time trusting anyone. But he knew he could trust this man by his side with his life.
Jason and Miguel literally grew up together but Miguel was always isolated.
Miguel was the son of the chairman's Butler. When his father died, the chairman decided to raise him like he was his own grandson.
Miguel never took it for granted though as he always knew his position and who he really was.
He used to play with Jason once in a while and when Jason was young, he did not like playing with anyone aside from Miguel.
After Jason went through a traumatic experience, he did not trust anyone except Miguel. And for this reason, they had to go to the same school. It was not so difficult for them to go to the same university since Miguel was also extremely intelligent.
After graduation, he was offered a job to be by Jason's side as his bodyguard and secretary. It was rare but Miguel did not even think about it before accepting the offer.
It was the least he could do for a family that helped him so much without complaining.
He trained really hard to be a reliable bodyguard and so far, he was good at both his jobs.
"I would not mind just walking alongside them. They look like gods".
"What do I do? I can never get used to this. They look too good".
"I know right? It feels like you are seeing them for the first time".
They kept talking as the two good-looking men walked out of the building.
Cars were already packed outside waiting and soon, they were on their way home.
When they got home, Jason rushed to Nadia's room but she was really gone.
Without wasting any time, he went to her new place. He was about to rush inside when he saw her inside through the glass window smiling with their grandpa's lawyer.
Nadia had gotten to the house a while ago. It was a very beautiful duplex painted in white. The interior was not white though. It was grey and black.
I never knew a house painted in dark colors could look this beautiful and classy. I've always wanted a house painted completely white because I felt that's how you distinguish wealthy people but I guess that was all in my head.
This house was everything and more. The house was painted with dark colors but it didn't look dull or sad. Instead, it looked extremely perfect.
I was still smiling and complimenting the architect when I looked outside and saw him.
"Jason"?
