I want to cook for Jason

"Jason"?

I called him but I knew he definitely could not hear me.

I rushed out and went to meet him. It appears he was also about to come in because I met him by the door.

As soon as I saw him, I smiled but he didn't look that pleased to see me.

I could see stress written all over his face. He looked so tired.

"Are you okay"?

I asked concerned and he finally looked at me with a tired smile as he nodded his head.

He walked in and sat down as I went to get him a glass of water.

"I heard you moved already. You didn't even tell me".

He sounded like a disappointed baby and I couldn't help but smile.

"I'm sorry. I was told that Grandpa already spoke to you. Besides, I was not planning on moving in today. I'll move in by the weekend".

I said assuring him that I didn't plan to just up and leave. He nodded slightly and it seemed he was contented with my answer.

Jason was so tired and distracted that he didn't even notice the interior.

The living room where he was seated was black and grey but it had touches of gold on the pieces of furniture. Even the ceiling was dark grey. The only thing that had color in this house was the chandelier and the glass windows. Good thing they were really big.

He kept looking around and though he prefers a house with a light interior, he had to admit that this was a very nice place. It looked like it kept making one just relax.

Jason then looked at Nadia and asked.

"Do you like the interior"?

He asked and he saw his woman smiling and nodding her head like a baby who just got a present from Santa.

The house was not half as big as his but it was definitely a large one. It has two floors which have three rooms, two living rooms, a dining area, and a very large kitchen.

All the rooms in the house were very large and the bedrooms all had their own walk-in closet and bathrooms.

Every part of this house was painted in dark colors and just had touches of gold, especially on the pieces of equipment in the house. The only places painted in white were the guestroom and outside the building.

Jason looked at Nadia as she showed him around and he could tell that she was very happy. He smiled seeing her look so happy.

He did not want her to move out but after speaking with his grandfather two days ago, he realized it would probably be better for the image of her living alone.

***Two days ago***

"Nadia is going to start working very soon. She has a very strong board, all she has to do is win them over".

Grandpa O'Brien said.

"Don't you think it's too quick? She probably needs a little more time to adjust. You know more than anyone that the business world is not a playground".

Jason said as he was worried for Nadia. The board members could either be helpful or dangerous. He did not want her to feel like she had gotten so high only to be brought down again.

"Chhh!!"

Grandpa scoffed at his grandson's words.

"You don't even know who you are dating. Listen, Jason, in the world of business, we have three types of people. The ones who are just not made for business no matter how they try, the ones who make it work with a lot of hard work, and the ones who see the business as their playground. They are so determined that they know, no matter what, they'll always make it work".

He then bent a little and asked Jason a question.

"Where do you think your girlfriend belongs"?

He asked but Jason did not answer immediately. He had never taken his time to look at Nadia's business side so he was not sure of what to say.

He knew very well that she'd try her best to make the business work but he did not know if she was in the second or third level.

"It's the playground dummy".

His grandfather said, making him look at him.

"You think she can make her business her playground"?

He asked trying to understand his grandfather's point of view and his grandfather nodded.

"Nadia has so much confidence in herself even though she is from a humble background. She knows what she can do, she has the determination to do it, and she does whatever it takes to achieve her goal. While doing all this, she always has a smile on her face".

He said and now, Jason could understand why his grandfather was so confident to do all the things he did for Nadia.

Grandpa was not the type to invest in a losing game so when he heard that his grandfather wanted to invest in Nadia, he was happy but he wanted to know why.

"You think she already has business in her"?

Jason asked and his grandfather answered without thinking about it.

"From birth".

Grandpa O'Brien said with a smile.

"Ahh that reminds me, she'll be moving out of your place".

Jason immediately looked at his grandfather as he did not like the idea.

"Wait what"?

He asked.

"Don't be silly Jason. She is a boss of her own now, you don't want to be the one to bring her down, do you"?

His grandfather did not even need to speak much for him to understand.

***Back to the present***

"I have a meeting to attend, I have to go".

He said and Nadia looked worried.

"Do you have to go? You look really tired".

She said and he smiled. He loved it whenever she cared for him like this.

"I'll be fine, I'll be home immediately after the meeting".

He said and Nadia didn't have a choice but to nod.

Jason left for the meeting and Nadia left for Jason's place.

When she got home, she wanted to look for Kanada but realized she wasn't there anymore.

"Gosh, I really miss that girl".

I said as I went upstairs to shower. When I was done, I went downstairs to prepare a meal for Jason. With all the hardships I had to go through, one could say I was a professional at so many things.

When Nadia entered the kitchen, the maids there became worried. Their respect for her had increased to its highest.

"Ma'am, you can't be here".

The head maid said and with a smile, I replied.

"I want to cook for Jason today".
