How do I...

Cattleya Sánchez looked into the crowd while she twisted her body on the pole. It had been five days since she last saw the lights of Genevieve Rodríguez at the midnight club.

It was almost her time up when she noticed the strange movements in the crowd. A woman found her way through the crowd and sat on Genevieve's usual spot.

A smile straightened her lips when she realized it was the exact woman who she had been praying and hoping to see.

I began to dance more seductively, trying my best to get her attention which I did. I felt her staring at me from the moment she walked in till the time I stepped into the darkness.

"You are needed at the VIP section." The manager said.

"Me?!." The bully of the strippers singled out herself happily.

I watched the manager scan her with his eyes from her head to toe and hissed harshly, he then looked at me and winked his actions made me feel a certain amount of irration steering up in my guts though I was able to control my facial expression and smile at him.

"Cattleya!, you're needed in the VIP section! do me proud." He said and left.

I smiled hoping it was Genevieve Rodríguez, who asked for me and not some random man.

I wore my short robe and walked past the bully who was busy complaining angrily.

"I was asked for," I said quietly.

The eyes of everyone fell on me, I bit on the inner part of my lips nervously.

"I did." A man said.

I stepped back in fright. "I am sorry but I am not available," I said in response.

Before I could turn around to leave I felt an arm grab me, I could feel my heart racing and tears wailing up in my eyes, and my limbs began to shake uncontrollably.

Was this really what I had to face? I had never loved to be touched by a man, especially after the incident. I took deep breaths trying not to show how terrified I was at the moment.

I opened my eyes widely, trying my best to stop the tears from rolling down my cheek and proving how much of a vulnerable young lady I was.

"She said she isn't available!." A woman's firm voice spoke from behind us.

"Let go of me!." I managed to speak out the words that were trapped in my head.

"This is between me and the woman who decided to sell her body to amuse men and not you Genevieve!!!."

"She didn't ask you to touch her, she only danced to entertain you." Genevieve defended me.

I began to feel the weight and the grip of the huge man lessen on me, I quickly rushed to Genevieve's side while rubbing my elbow which he had held on to firmly.

I ran outside to cry and as well make myself comfortable, I sat on the ground of the parking lot in the dark corner. All these days all I have done was to get the attention of Genevieve but rather I was endangering my life.

I sat there with my back against the wall and my face buried between my legs, I wrapped around my head with my arms while I cried bitterly at the memory of a once simpler event.

"Are you okay?."

"Leave me alone!!." I yelled out.

I heard the sound of a sole scraping on the ground.

I looked to my side to find Genevieve seated on the dirty ground of a parking lot right beside me.

"H…I" I stuttered.

This was something I should feel happy for but why did I feel like I was committing a crime for speaking to her?

"I am sorry for what happened earlier." She apologised as though she had been the man who hurt me.

I took the opportunity to stare at her closely. I couldn't get over how beautiful her black skin was and how it glittered despite the deemed light at this end of the parking lot.

"He had taken advantage of me being quiet when you first spoke." She went on to speak.

The movement of her lips was enchanting and her black pupils that looked like a wormhole were mesmerising.

"Are you saying you asked for me and not that abusive man in there?." I asked her.

Genevieve nodded to my words.

"Why did you ask for me if you weren't gonna speak to me?." I asked with a bit of an offended tone while I unintentionally stared daggers at her in anger.

She looked towards the lit-up part of the parking lot before she turned back to face my intense gaze.

"I would love to sit in your presence." She seemed too calm to be a drug lord.

Too down to earth and nice, the drug lords I knew would enjoy every moment of watching me being tormented by that man in there.

"It's not safe out here for you." She told me all of a sudden.

I pressed my eyebrows together in confusion. "What do you mean?."

She chuckled as she stood up straight, looking down at me. "You don't expect Wyatt to let you go scot-free after humiliating him in such a way."

"So what do I do?." I asked her.

I placed my hand on the wall while trying to get back on my feet, she stretched out her hand to me which I took and she pulled me back on my feet.

"Let's talk in my car." She suggested and I nodded.

We both strolled hand in hand towards wherever she parked her car, I kept looking over my shoulders and scoping out the environment for any suspicious activities, I was only here for Genevieve I didn't need to drag as much attention as I had.

"Get in." I was so lost in my thoughts I didn't realise I had stopped walking and Genevieve had unlocked her car and went as far as holding the door open for me.

I slid myself into her car seat and sat quietly not knowing what to say or how to begin to convince her to let me into her life as I was meant to do.

"Let me start with" I am sorry." She said to me,

Should I come clean to her and tell her I was sent to possibly destroy her or I should go ahead to act like this was my first time meeting her?
