Monolithic Temple

In a mortal plane, two cultivators flew across the skies, one wearing a blue robe adorned with golden clouds, the other, wearing a silver robe with the same golden cloud pattern.

The blue robed man was tall with elegant features and short, somewhat messy red hair. He had a single golden eye while the other was blue. He carried himself with the aura of someone who might one day rule the world.

The other man was a lot older, with dull grey hair that fell to his shoulders, and white foggy eyes. He was carrying a dead girl in his arms.

This girl was of course, Yin Lian.

They had been flying for a couple of days now and were now able to see their destination. A monolithic sized structure that was completely black, excluding all of the flora that had grown on it.

Eventually they arrived at the enormous, ancient structure and stood at its grand entrance in awe.

"No matter how many times I see it, it never ceases to amaze me with its glory." The young man said in admiration.

"It is indeed a sight to behold." The old man agreed.

The structure was actually very simple in design, with pillars at equal distances between them going all around while holding up the roof. There were stairs at the front that led up to the entrance, which was a ginormous archway that went inside.

The two walked up the steps and towards the entrance into the huge temple like building.

They stared into the dark depths of the unlit interior. And as they looked inside, they saw the other set of stairs that led down below the surface.

No one had been able to go down these steps since time immemorial. And it wasn't because they couldn't walk down them, but because this was an ancient inheritance site that only let certain people in.

The old man looked down at the girl in his arms and began to doubt whether this was the right thing to do.

"My liege, I know the heavens have guided you down this path… but is this REALLY what we should be doing?"

The young man groaned, "Ugh, quit whining old man, just throw her in there already so we can be done with this." He complained.

The old man sighed and did as he was told, throwing the dead body he was carrying down the stairs.

The young man's eyes shined as he saw the body fall further than anyone else had been able to get. His joy grew upon seeing her completely disappear from view, causing him to smile with glee.

"This is an auspicious occasion!" He celebrated. "Come! Let's go spread the good news!"

The young man started walking away to return to the sect. The old man took one last glance at the path that led to the inheritance before following the young man.

...

...

Deep within the Inheritance Temple, the body of the girl lay on the floor, unmoving.

"…" The will of the temple itself looked at her lifeless body, her soul sealed within.

The will remained silent for a while, pondering what it should do. Should it help her? Or should it let her pass on?

To help decide what to do, the Will used its powers to look into her memories, once he finished, he then looked elsewhere. First at the bandits, then the cultivators, and finally, the one that orchestrated all of this, the Heavens Will.

"Hahhh..." It gave a deep sigh, one filled with contempt and dissappointment.

Looking at the dead girl again, he noticed something, something peculiar, something off, something irregular.

"Hmm? Wait... is that?"

And as he used his prowess to scour deep into the girl, he found something he didn't expect.

"Eternal Nine Yin's Physique!" He shouted in surprise. "But how is this possible? This miniscule mortal world can't possibly create such a thing. So how was she able to acquire this physique? I need to connect to the main body for this."

Silence fell upon the place as the Will of this Inheritance connected to its main body. Which it soon did.

Somewhere out in the universe, Concept was meditating. By this point in time, he had already comprehended all the Dao's to the maximum, he was only meditating to pass the time and because he found it relaxing.

When suddenly, he felt one of his many Inheritance Will's calling out to him, so he answered it. He received the information telepathically and was mildly surprised by what he received.

"Hmm, so that's what that was, I suppose it has been a while since such a physique manifested."

He then relayed this information back to the Inheritance Will.

"So it was just a naturally born physique? Hmm..." The Inheritance will pondered what to do after learning of this information. "Hmm... Well, the elements that make up Yin are numerous, and some of them work well with this Inheritance."

"..."

"Sure, let's see what happens."

And after deciding what to do, the Will used its immense power to resurrect the girl, breaking the seal and imbuing her soul back into her body and reviving it.

The body began floating in the air as energy was imbued into it, glowing with a bright white light as it did so.

Soon the light died down as did the levitation as the girl's body slowly fell back onto the floor.

She was motionless for a while until she suddenly awakened.

*GAAASSSSPP!!!*

She took in a huge breath of air to fill her lungs and reinvigorate her body with vitality. She sat there breathing heavily for a few minutes until her body and heart had calmed down.

After her body had recovered, so too did her mind, and she frantically looked at her surroundings, afraid of the sudden changes in her surroundings.

She began hyperventilating, almost passing out.

"Child." A booming ancient voice called out to her, frightening her even more.

"Please, calm down young one." The voice spoke softly.

The girls racing heart slowed down a little, but she was still afraid.

"I mean you no harm, quite the opposite in fact, I wish to help you, by giving you this Inheritance."

The girls mind and emotions, although still chaotic, were beginning to properly calm down and allow her to process what was going on.

The voice waited for the girl to respond. And eventually, she did.

"W-Who are you? W-Where am I?" She asked, still fearful of this unknown place, and the echoing voice that rang out.

The voice spoke in a serene manner, "I am an Inheritance Will, and this is one of many Inheritance Temples."

"In- inhera- inhar-" She struggled to properly understand what she was just told.

The Will noticed this and decided to try this from the beginning, "Let's start from the beginning, first of all, who are you?" The Will knew her name already but was simply being polite to make her more comfortable.

Still somewhat hesitant, she stuttered, "Y-Yin Lian."

"Welcome, Yin Lian, to the Inheritance Temple of the Asura. You probably don't know what that is given your upbringing and origins do you?"

"N-No..." Yin Lian answered, completely unaware that the Will already knew everything about her and how she would answer.

"I shall explain then..."
