An hour later, Laleen had bid her goodbyes to her parents and was on her way to the address that her friend, Beth had sent.
It was a small cafe though a lot more expensive looking than the one she had once worked for.
Touching up her small disguise of dark sunglasses and a scarf, Laleen stepped out of the car and walked into the establishment.
It was so easy to spot her fireball of a friend. She had her legs crossed with a book in hand, her head buried in its content.
With a smile, she took several steps closer and Elizabeth on the other hand raised her head as if she could sense her presence.
"Hello Beth" Laleen greeted with her warmest smile but Elizabeth maintained her frown.
Her frown gave way to a smoldering glare as she stared at her friend. On closer inspection, it wouldn't be a surprise if there was fire flying out of her nostrils with every breath she took.
"You," she finally said as she pointed an accusatory finger at Laleen.
