LUCID DREAMS

Laleen burst into laughter, her shoulders quaking as she stared at him in disbelief.

"I won't die from this" she said, amused.

Shane gave her a bored look that said 'Are you coming or not?' and Laleen immediately froze.

Taking quick steps towards him, she got closer while holding her hurt wrist.

"Here sir" She gave a salute with tensed shoulders when she got in front of him.

Gently, he took hold of her wrist and Laleen winced at the pain.

"Such a fragile thing" Shane whispered in distaste but his hands were as light as a feather on her skin.

"It's broken, isn't it?" Laleen asked in horror. It hurt so much so it must have been broken.

"Were you practicing cartwheels on how you'll sneak your way past the red tape like last night?" His deep voice came in wonder as he examined her bruised hand and his eyes subtly narrowed when he made out the fingerprint marks on her skin.

Laleen shook her head. "I'm not that desperate"
