With her hand pointing towards the sky, Laleen said with a bright smile, "Look, Shane. The bright and lonely star is you"

Shane who had shut his eyes to listen to the quietness of the night opened them abruptly and his head snapped in her direction.

"Do you see it? It's just like you. So bright yet so alone"

Laleen was looking intently at the star with fascination yet Shane was only looking at her.

Not hearing him speak, she turned to him with a frown but was immediately startled by the intensity of his gaze.

"W-What?" She stuttered.

Squinting her eyes, she continued, "You don't like my analogy, is that it?"

Not getting any response where he continued to stare at her with a gaze she couldn't comprehend, she pursed her lips. With a shrug, she mumbled, "I'm not wrong"

Looking back at the sky, she continued, "The poor star shines brighter than the rest but look at it sadly on its own."

Looking back at him, she beamed, "See?"
