Finale— Starting a New Journey.

"Is that the one you're bringing along?"

Kaguya looked behind him and gestured towards the obediently silent Amasawa.

"Looks like she can't see you."

"She does not need to," She replied before shifting her attention to the Heavenly Spirit.

"She'll bring some entertainment to my life in the next world. What if it's a dangerous one? Can't go sexless can I?" He joked.

"Hmm, considering your personality you won't even go out till you're sure you're strong enough to survive." Kaguya shook her head mischievously.

"You understand me well."

"You've struck quite the heavy deal with me for the sake of soul protection, of course I know you." Kaguya smiled and stretched her hand out, "Since you refuse to kill it I might as well take over."

Her form began to break and she returned to her initial smoky form. The smoke swirled for a bit before drilling into the Heavenly Spirit.

The Heavenly Spirit trembled and its form began to change.

There was a faint echo of sadness that disappeared as quickly as it appeared. Amasawa looked around in surprise.

Tatsuya ignored her and looked at the rapidly changing Heavenly Spirit.

Instead of its originally distorted form, Kaguya's phantom form had taken over. Smoke erupted from the emotionless Kaguya and another Kaguya was formed.

The emotionless Kaguya had replaced the Heavenly Spirit and would now act in its stead.

"I've replaced it. Since you want to keep this world, I can maintain it for a few hundred years at most. I'm not a real Heavenly Spirit so I can't sustain it."

"Why can only Heavenly Spirits sustain these worlds?" Tatsuya frowned as he noted this point.

Kaguya frowned as well before shaking her head in dismay, "My memories are blurry. Unless I regain my true form I can't tell. All I know is that it's because of rules and regulations."

Kaguya shook her head once again.

"Nonetheless, Yamamoto Tatsuya it is time to leave."

In response to the real Kaguya, the cross-legged emotionless Kaguya lifted her hand and flipped her palm.

On top of it appeared the blurry visage of a gracefully flowing river.

The emotionless Kaguya formed a pinching motion with her fingers and pulled a strand of water from the river. The strand of water formed into a stream that circled in between her fingertips, forming a sphere.

The Real Kaguya frowned, "I've underestimated it. I can't maintain this world for more than two hundred years. That sphere indicates that I've stopped time for this world."

She sighed, "But eventually it'll overload. The sphere will burst and time will continue to flow naturally. Once time flows this form of mine will disintegrate and the world will collapse."

"That's fine. It's just a world. It's not like I have some deep attachment to it. Were it not that I knew that devouring this world poses no benefit for you I would've let you do it."

"You're correct. We are a Tier-1 Being to begin with, consuming the Origin Source of another Tier 1 brings no benefits." Kaguya nodded, "Only by becoming a true Tier-3 Being can we invade the realm of True Heaven and slowly devour the real Heavenly Spirits without being discovered." She paused and sat down in front of Tatsuya, "Observe this."

Tatsuya followed her lead and sat down in front of her.

Similar to the emotionless Kaguya, the real Kaguya lifted her palm and several strands of multi-coloured threads appeared on top of it.

Tatsuya noted they consisted of four different colours, mainly red, yellow, green, and white.

"These are the bridges I've connected to different worlds." Kaguya had now discarded any sort of personality she was acting out.

Tatsuya noted that her aura now resembled that of a cold emotionless machine.

"The colours of the bridge were originally black but I've changed it to explain some things for you."

"Let me guess." Tatsuya raised his hand, "The red threads belong to dangerous worlds, the yellow threads mean dangerous but survivable, the green mean worlds I will still be able to dominate should I choose to and the white threads should indicate worlds like Classroom of the Elite. Right?"

"Correct." Kaguya nodded with satisfaction and raised her palm, "The red ones I won't allow you to select, though I know you won't."

Tatsuya listened silently.

"You can choose the green worlds if you want but I won't recommend it. It would be a waste of time. I suppose I don't need to talk about the white threads, you wouldn't want to waste World Essence to travel to a useless world. Ultimately, I'd recommend choosing a yellow world despite the risks. If you don't act recklessly we can immediately become Tier-3 Beings."

"Alright, I'll go with your suggestion." Tatsuya curiously poked the threads but they didn't budge, it was as if he was poking a rock.

"Then choose one of the yellow threads. That'll be the world you'll move to."

"You won't tell me the identity of them?"

"I can't. I can only sense the essence of the worlds and determine their level."

"That's disappointing."

Nonetheless, he plucked one of the threads and the rest disappeared.

The yellow thread swirled and formed into a majestic gate.

"Let's hope the world is exciting." Tatsuya smiled broadly and looked at Kaguya, "Have you done what I asked you to do earlier?"

"I have. It was a good choice to discard all of the useless abilities you gained for more World Essence." Kaguya looked at Amasawa and her pale eyes glinted, "Do you know…"

She floated in front of Tatsuya but his gaze was fixed on the gate behind her. Kaguya didn't mind this and simply appeared in front of him.

With gentle movements, she cupped his face, as if she wasn't just a phantom.

"You've made me realise how lucky I am to have chosen you as my host. May we eternally prosper till there is none but us." She let out a smile so enchanting that even Tatsuya was bewitched.

He stared at her in a daze before breaking into a soft smile. He looked at the docile Amasawa before shaking his head.

"I hope so."

Amasawa who had been curiously observing him felt an ominous shiver go down her spine.

She had a lot of questions.

She looked at the yellow gate with some surprise and came to a conclusion.

Tatsuya was talking to something she couldn't observe.

The echo of grief from earlier should be related to it…

Amasawa kept her doubts to herself and decided to ask later.

She saw Tatsuya stand in front of the gate in silence.

A moment later he turned around and smiled at her lovingly.

"Let's go."

Amasawa smiled in response.

They both disappeared into the yellow gate and the emotionless Kaguya watched the yellow gate close and vanish.

She let out a sweet smile, "Hope is worth no more than a delusion."

She returned to her initial state and everything went silent.

The world had frozen and the only thing signifying the presence of time was the swirling sphere of water in between her fingertips.
