First of all, this is the sequel to my previous book, 'The Exiled Lady's Rumoured Tyrant.'.

Rei was a high-ranked lady official in the Qin Empire who was exiled from her empire due to a planned scheming.
 
After spending for about two months in a neighbourhood Kingdom that was said to be ruled by an evil tyrant, her name was cleared and was finally able to return to her homeland.

With the two months spent with that said evil tyrant, she started developing a special to him. Despite that, Rei still decided to return to her homeland.

However, an unexpected event happened, Rei was assaulted and nearly died, the said evil tyrant saved her and sustained a serious injury.

And so... Their story continues...

That Time When He Conquered The Qin Empire.

Hearing what the King just told her, Rei was stunned at the spot. Her brain refused to process all those unbelievable words from the King.

"How about his heart condition? Is it... Uhm... Related to that drug as well?" Rei asked in a careful and worried tone.

"Well, his heart condition is congenital, but that drug will worsen his condition, if left uncontrolled, his life might be in great danger. Or to be more accurate, he is in the slow process of killing himself at this moment." said the King.

"Ah... Can't we do anything about it?" Rei asked, who was shocked for a second time.

"Unfortunately, if we can't stop Ben from overdosing that drug, we can barely do anything about it. And it's that Ben, that work freak we are talking about." said the King.

"But... We could try... Right?" Rei asked again.
