First of all, this is the sequel to my previous book, 'The Exiled Lady's Rumoured Tyrant.'. 
For those who haven't read the mentioned book, please read it before starting this book for easier understanding.

Rei was a high-ranked lady official in the Qin Empire who was exiled from her empire due to a planned scheming.
 
After spending for about two months in a neighbourhood Kingdom that was said to be ruled by an evil tyrant, her name was cleared and was finally able to return to her homeland.

With the two months spent with that said evil tyrant, she started developing a special to him. Despite that, Rei still decided to return to her homeland.

However, an unexpected event happened, Rei was assaulted and nearly died, the said evil tyrant saved her and sustained a serious injury.

And so... Their story continues...

<p>"Yes, poke in the needle as deep as you can. Don't worry, it is not enough to kill him." said the King as he seemed to be slightly struggling to keep the retainer under control.</p>

<p>Knowing that she had no time for hesitation, Rei nodded and started disinfecting the needle with a small bottle of alcohol. Then, after taking a deep breath, she poked the needle into the back neck of the retainer. As soon as Rei poked the needle, the King released his grip on the retainer and swiftly stepped back a few steps while pulling Rei into his arm and covering up her eyes.</p>
