Chapter thirty

Miran knew he was on duty again, he needed to go continue questioning procedures with that woman. He hated seeing her, each time he laid eyes on her, she was covered in fresh bruises, her face etched with fear and despair. He knew he was responsible for her suffering, knowing he was the policeman to have brought her here on an arrest, he caused her confinement in this grim cell.

She moved back far once she saw him enter the cell, grabbing her legs together. “Not you! You look like him! Don’t touch me, I don’t want to remember you when I see him! It’s Eren, his name is Eren! You’ll see him in the graveyard that’s on the outskirts! Just please, don’t touch me!” She was terrified and visibly traumatised, the woman retreated further, her voice shaking as she desperately pleaded with Miran.
