The Lost Daughter Found

Elara awoke the next morning feeling emotionally drained, the revelations still sinking in. She mutely went through her morning routine then descended to breakfast, sensing the family's worried eyes following her.

Angela hovered anxiously. "Good morning, sister! How are you faring?"

"I'm alright," Elara attempted a weak smile.

Vincent scrutinized her from his seat, noting the lingering shell-shock in her eyes.

Mrs. Holloway patted Elara's hand comfortingly. "We are here if you need anything, my dear."

Elara turned to Vincent after picking at her food silently. "I was hoping for your help with something...I want to try finding my biological father now. To get some answers."

"Of course," Vincent readily agreed. "I'll have Gabriel look into any leads."

"Thank you," Elara said with quiet relief.

Mrs. Holloway gave an approving nod. "That's what husbands are for - helping carry burdens."
