Luke's hands trembled, making it impossible to drive. "Take me back to my hotel," he instructed his driver instead. His mind was too chaotic to face Vincent or the potential daughter he had finally found now.

Safely in his suite, Luke paced the plush carpet for endless minutes trying to slow his stampeding thoughts. He needed a clear plan, not rash reaction. 

Most pressingly - he had to call his wife Marina first. She had never fully healed from their baby's traumatic kidnapping. Learning her daughter actually lived could be emotionally shattering if not handled gently.
