SUN'S RADIANCE

THE GODDESS' STATUE HAVE always rubbed Judith the wrong way.

She is not as mighty as the images Judith has seen in historic texts, not as imposing as the statue the government destroyed three years ago and it is definitely not as majestic as the hidden statue under her parents bedroom floor.

It is small, bronze and mediocre. It doesn't capture the Goddess' essence, her brilliance, her divine wisdom. It is cold and new and doesn't invoke trust in her.

Her legs cramp from kneeling for a long time but she needs this other to work. Her prayers haven't been getting granted for a while now: and while she is willing to shrug the unanswered prayers, this particular prayer must be answered.

It must be fulfilled.

Judith doesn't want to believe that the reason why her prayers haven't been answered is because the statue is small.
