The plan

Lilaac's POV

As agreed , I sat at a bench putting on my headphones as Diane make her way to her campus. We'll stay connected and I'll hear their conversation. I sat in an area where I can see them clearly but they won't notice me easily.

" He usually bother me in this area . I'll walk around a bit . You can stay tune ." Diane said on the other side .

I said okay and continue listening. I took out a book and pretend to read it so people won't bother me .

" Ok Lilly, here he comes. I'll put the phone in my bag . So don't bother talking to me, I won't hear it anyway." She said.

I took a deep breath in anticipation. Let's hear what Hector has to say.

" Diane! Just the girl I'm looking for . I know you've already said no the last 6 times but I won't give up that easily. Tell me dear, what do I have to do for you to accept me ?" He started off saying. Ugh the cringe . It's crawling my skin . I can already see Diane rolling her eyes in annoyance. Does he really have no shame ? But then again, I fall for this shamelessness of him . At that time, it was even cute . God I want to slap past me back to sense. I was way too naive .

" Well Hector, since you're so persistent and sweet. I think about giving you a chance." I heard Diane chuckling.

" Really! So are you my girlfriend now ?" He replied excitedly. You must be really happy you could get another girl with those trick of yours. Unfortunately for you, that happiness won't last long.

So embrace it , you cheating bastard.

" Yep I'm your girlfriend now ." Diane said flatly . This girl isn't putting any effort. Anyone can tell she isn't being genuine.

But Hector didn't seem to mind that . I guess he's already high in his dreamland.

" So since we're dating now . How about we see a movie this weekend? " Hector asked. I can hear him grinning ear to ear . This bastard, he didn't even remember my existence anymore.

" Actually, you're becoming too clingy . I don't like clingy guys . You know what? Let's break up . I'm dumping you ." I heard Diane saying.

What is going on? This isn't part of the plan . Why is she doing this ? I tried reaching her but as she said earlier, she won't hear anything I said.

" Wait! I'll behave. Please don't break up with me. We just started dating a minute ago ." Hector begged.

" Nope ! I'm not changing my mind . Stop bothering me or I'll get the cops involved." That's the last thing she said before walking away from Hector with a grin on her face . I hurriedly went to confront her . What is she thinking? What kind of relationship last only a minute?

Diane noticed me rushing towards her and greeted me with a sweet smile as if she didn't just turn the whole plan upside down.

" Are you happy now ? Baby girl ." She said smirking at me .

" Diane! What are you thinking? That was not plan at all. You said you'll follow my plan ." I screamed at her .

" What ? You said to accept him and then dump him . I did exactly that ." She said putting on her innocent look . She's doing it deliberately. I knew it . There's no way she'll listen to me so easily. I stand there glaring at her while she continued to put on her sweet innocent smile .

" Now that , your plan has been implemented. I've done my part of the deal . It's time you do yours." She said pouting.

I didn't reply and continue shooting lasers from my eyes.

" So.. what should I ask for first?" She teases circling around me .

" To hell with you and your wish!" I said pushing her away. I heard her chuckling as I stormed off to my block . She's getting on my nerves.
