Alex lay on the bed, put on his game helmet, and logged into the game, just like millions of others were doing the same. Soon, he found himself back in his room within the school and didn't know what to do for the rest of his day.

Well, the cultists were preparing to attack during the night, and it was still morning, meaning Alex had plenty of idle time before significant events unfolded. First and foremost, Alex opened his inventory to retrieve a vial of blood, and to his surprise, they had run out. It wasn't the best timing for this to happen.

But for his luck, Alex was no longer confined within the school, so it was indeed possible to seek out human blood.

With that in mind, Alex left the school without notifying anyone. One of the guards at the school entrance glanced at Alex but didn't say anything.
