Chapter 285 Monarch of the Lake(2)

'It hurts!!!' Castiel screamed in his mind as he fell towards the lake. Even so, he knew that he couldn't just give up here or he will really die. His wings could be regenerated later. He could see the dragon rise from the lake, it's mouth open, ready to devour him and he smiled bitterly, before channeling all his remaining holy energy into the blade.

"Die, you fucker." He roared as he stabbed his blade towards the dragon. The entire area was covered in the night sky, alarming the beasts nearby, making them wonder if night has become day. The dragon, enraged, released a beam of demonic energy from it's mouth, blasting Castiel away and onto the bank of the lake, his body charred black and he coughed up blood. The dragon groaned at him angrily, but the damage was already done. The wave of holy light destroyed all the blackmist and black water, destroying the dragon's small habitat in the holy lake. The dragon was enraged and swam towards Castiel, but before it arrived, a golden fireball collided with its face, forcing it to turn around. Synthia floated above the water, panting lightly, as she hasn't fully recovered from her injuries. Infact, her skin was still red, showing a bit of the flesh beneath.

The dragon roared angrily, releasing a shockwave from it's roar, but Synthia stayed steadfast and prepared for battle. Meanwhile, Kate and Simon went over to the shore and took Castiel charred body, and instantly he started to glow as he activated his cultivation trait, but he could feel his consciousness blurring. The other Angels were busy gathering their energy using their cultivation traits.

Synthia and the dragon clashed in the lake sending waves crashing to the shore. Without the black mist and black water, and with it's declining demonic energy, it couldn't use any of it's more powerful skills inside the lake. Which is why it was trying to leave, but Synthia was stopping it. Both were in a dire state, and Synthia was hacking at the dragon's scales with reckless abondon, but it still wasn't good enough to crack through it's scales. The dragon continuously tried to bit off the annoying fly with beautiful wings, before it's frustration soared to the limit. It released a wave of demonic energy that pushed Synthia back for the first time. Quickly, it rushed towards the shore and within minutes, it's goal was in sight and it dived towards the surface, feeling a wave of relief as it would finally be out of the water it once called it's domain. And as all of its body was about to crash onto the shore, it felt a huge force impact it's serpentine body pushing it back. Looking down, it could see what it could only describe as an earthy brown boulder with white wings sticking out.

"Ahhhhhh!!" Simon roared as he pushed against the serpentine body of the dragon. The beast looked down incredulously as it couldn't believe such a weak creature dared to attack, but it soon became alarmed as it felt it's body being pushed back. It was still inside the [Holy Territory] and as such, it's power was reduced. Reduced enough to be pushed back by a tier 3 angel.

The dragon bit towards Simon, ready to rip him to shreds and swallow him whole, but it was once again interrupted. An arrow made of ice, covered in a bright green glow struck it's eye, faster than it could react with it's current power. A ray of golden light impacted it's body as it roared in pain, pushing it back even more.

"Lightning rush!!" Kirt shouted as he decented from the sky as a bolt of lightning, crashing into the head of the dragon, causing it and the three of them to fall back into the water.

This notifications flashed before the eyes of the beast, and it quickly tried to escape but the three angels held it down. Roxy and Mark flew towards the dragon and tried to hold it down as well. The dragon thrashed it's body wildly, desperate to escape and managed to flip Kirt off it's head, before proceeding to flash the others off as well.

"Light Bomb." Kate said and a bright orb appeared infront of the dragon's eyes before it exploded, causing it to roar as it was temporarily blinded. When it opened its eyes, it saw a blade, covered in golden flames stabbing into it's eyes and soon it could feel the searing heat as well.

"This is for Castiel!!!" Synthia roared as she poured all her flames into the creature's eyes as it thrashed widely. It desperately tried to throw her off, and it suddenly dived under water. It swam at high speeds, and the water was dousing the flames, but Synthia's conviction was resolute. Finally, Synthia couldn't take it anymore as her lungs felt like they were about to burst, forcing her to leave the dragon's head. As soon as she did, the dragon whipped around, landing a powerful strike with it's tail that sent her flying. The dragon roared triumphantly, but the next second, it's vision started to darken and it's body felt sluggish.
