CHAPTER 3: Foolish But Courageous Act

"I would like five thousand men to fight along side with me," said Elisa.

The soldiers were all looking at one another. They didn't want to be led by a female who have no battle experience. They fear that they were just walking to their death. Their doom is upon them if they went head on against the Emperor Lucas.

No one stepped up to volunteer.

Elisa's hand clench.

Prince Regent standing behind her chuckled.

Elisa was going to have to come up with a plan if no one is willingly to go with her.

"I will go," said a man's voice.

Elisa looked up.

"My name is Fanatic. I am a low rank solider, but if you will have me, I will stand by your side."

Elisa nodded.

Then soon more men were stepping forward.

Prince Regent was surprised that some of his men actually agrees to go with this crazy woman into battle.

"Your highness," said Elisa.

Prince Regent looked at her with his stone cold face.

"Yes?"

"I got the five thousand men I needed. We will be ready to set out in two days."

"Humph." He walked away from her.

Elisa bowed as he turned away. She clenches her fist tightly. What did she do to make him treat her like this? But whatever his reasoning is, she didn't care. For she couldn't take on any one else's burden but her own. Her goal right now is to save her grandfather. She will risk everything even at the exposures of her phoenix to save the only person she got left in the world.

THIRD DAY

Prince Regent watched as Elisa looked over the horizon. She waiting for something. It was as if she was awaiting the rising sun. Waiting for a signal that it was time for her to make her move.

He was surprised that she didn't flinched at going against such a huge army. She didn't even look afraid at the amount of enemy standing before her. He admired her foolish but courageous act. He walked over to her.

"Prince Regent, it's time," said Elisa, turning back to look at him.

He nodded in agreement with her.

"Please, I hope and pray you honor your words, your highness," said Elisa.

"As do you."

Elisa nodded. She was wearing a hanfu that is long and beautiful. It had a twist to it as it's off the shoulder red dress. Her dress was floating behind her as if it was drifting among the cloud. She looked almost like a goddess as the sun rises behind her. She walked past him without glancing at him.

Prince Regent frowned. He wasn't sure why she was not wearing a soldier's outfit. He was disapproving of her wearing such elegant hanfu. He was worried that this woman might just treat this war as a game.

"This woman is supposed to be in a long line of warriors, yet she wears a traditional Chinese dress to battle?" questioned Commander Wang.

Prince Regent shrugged. He sigh as he didn't care anymore. All he is thinking about now is ways to escape if she fails.

Elisa put her hands together and in the palm of her hand was an orb. She sings,

"When the sun rises, the warriors goes into battle. In battle their sweat and blood drench the ground. In victory we hope that they come home to their loved ones. From young to old we sing and dance with the sword in hand. In hope we take down the enemies in one swipe. To return home to the mountains where our soul belongs. The raging war we see from afar, but our heart won't melt. For we fight on with bravery. For our kingdom we charge forth."

Elisa let go of her orb and it floated up into the air. The orb recording her enchanting voice, echoed throughout the battlefield.

Everyone was in awed as they saw her magic orb drifting in the up.

Elisa smiled. She turned back and walk towards the troops. She stopped in front of Fanatic. "Fan, when I give you the signal, follow me into battle."

"Yes. I will do as you say," answered Fan. He will be the leader in regards to engaging after she takes out the flanks.

Elisa walked over to the drums. She bang loudly on the drums of war. The sun was slowly rising higher into the sky. Her red dress floating around her. The color of the sun and her color matched each other perfectly.

NEIGH, came a cry.

Elisa turned to look.

Prince Regent also hearing the noise looked around. He put his hand on his sword.

Soon a white horse appear before them. It was running at top speed towards Elisa.

"Whoa!" shouted the soldiers.

"What?" exclaimed the wounded men.

"It's a white horse," said Commander Wang.

"It's a good luck sign," said some of the soldiers.

Elisa took the horse's reins and got on.

"Shadow," whispered Elisa. "Let's ride towards the rising sun."

The white horse neigh loudly.

"Let's go," she command.

Prince Regent frowned as the horse understood what she was saying.

Shadow ran as fast as he could towards the hilltop. As the white horse was running, Elisa lean over and grab the flag of the Zhu kingdom from Commander Wang's hand.

"Hey-" said Commander Wang.

Prince Regent held out his hand to stop Commander Wang.

Elisa held the flag in her hand as her white horse jumps off the hilltop. As she was in the air, she said, "I summon thee, my Phoenix. Rise! Rise with the rising sun!"

A light beamed in the sky.

"What?" asked Prince Regent. He thought he heard her summoning the legendary creature that is known to have vanished. The resurrection of life and death. The one and only, Phoenix.

Rosie jumps from her white horse and change formed. She switched to her true form the Phoenix.

BOOOOOOM! CRACCCCK!

Out of the sky came a huge creature.

"ROOOOOOOAAAAARRRRR!" screeched her Phoenix.

Her Phoenix came out screeching loudly into the sky. It was a powerful and magnificent creature. Everyone could see her clearly that she was floating inside of her creature. She was protected by her mystical creature.

"It's the phoenix! It's the phoenix!" shouted the soldiers loudly.

"WHAT!" shouted the Left Prime Minister.

"The Phoenix's live?" questioned Commander Wang.

"She's the Phoenix!" said Prince Regent. His brows frowned deeply. He was breathing heavily in almost disbelief as the legendary phoenix was right in front of him and he didn't know. His eyes followed her in curiosity.
