A friend of a friend remains a stranger

[Liv’s POV]

My eyes ache from hours of poring over notes, but with exams looming, there’s no room for rest. I clear my desk, shedding the weight of textbooks and papers. My bed calls to me, a sanctuary of warmth, but my growling stomach insists on attention. Wrapped in a scarf and donning my red beanie, I step out into the sudden winter snap.

Nate’s stall beckons, but the memory of Liam and Roni’s clandestine meeting lingers, quashing my appetite. Damn it. Why go through the torture of reminding myself about it? I turn back, heading towards Leo’s, the promise of a juicy burger too irresistible to ignore.
