As the recent Banking crisis clearly shows, the World is
vulnerable to these flaws, using the instant responses of
the internet to destabilise the whole system, and through
it, us. The governments of the World explained it all away
as just market forces, but then, they would say that,
wouldn't they? In reality, as shocking as it was, one man
orchestrated our downfall.. For those of us who want to
know, this whole story is a blueprint of how real fraud
works behind the scenes in all its fascinating but shocking
detail.

Judge John Brooks did not know it, but he was now a marked man. Following a meeting the Chief and Farquhar-Brown had requested with the Home Secretary, the Judge’s bank accounts and personal documents were being quietly scrutinised by accountants from the Serious Fraud Office. The SFO had come up with some interesting facts. Though Judge Brooks had been a successful barrister before his appointment to the bench, his lifestyle now surpassed anything he should have been capable of. 


Not that he was the only Judge or Senior Official under investigation. At least five of his fellow Judges were among those whose affairs were being simultaneously investigated. It was now time to collate these investigations, and the Chief scheduled a meeting of his team as well as an emergency meeting with Farquhar-Brown which would ultimately lead to another major meeting of the APACS committee.
