The Slap Of God

Victor raised an eyebrow. “Is that so? Who would that be?”

Elias sniggered like a lunatic. “Do you think I didn’t have a backup plan? I sent a dozen henchmen to Rose Atelier’s office. You know her, don’t you? She’s Carol’s cousin, another hot piece of ass! My spies told me you always back her up and spend quality time with her. One of your floozies! That means Rose means something to you, doesn’t she, Victor? As we speak, my men may have already wrecked her office, violated her, and killed her in broad daylight! How do you feel about that?”

Victor retrieved his phone from his coat. “You appear so confident again. Why don’t I find out how Rose is doing? Get the real deal from the horse’s mouth?”

Showing no sign of being perturbed, Victor placed a call to Rose and put the phone on speaker.

“Hello? Victor?” Rose’s fruity voice was loud and shrill.

“Rose. Are you doing okay back there?”
