Systemless

I looked at the frail, fair white skinned boy who had fainted on the ground and laughed a bit.

"Your student is one hell of a nut job,"

"Hahaha, you are right about that."

I could see the old ghost play with his hair as he laughed at his student. I too joined him as the student reminded me of my past self.

After laughing a bit I felt the need to introduce myself. Old habits never change.

"By the way my name is Dean. Dean Evester."

"I am Chang Sung, The Plum Blossom Sword Saint from The Mount Hua Sect in Murim."

Oh we are talking titles now.

"I am the Last Dark Mage, from the Aurel Empire"

The handsome fair skinned ghost kept on playing on with his beard, as he floated in the air next to his student.

"Never heard of the Aurel Empire before, but it must have strong people."

I smiled and said, "Well does Murim, is it filled with only Martial Artist."

"Yes. That's the same thing this brat said to me."

In Deans memories, in something called manhwa's Murim was a place filled with insanely strong people who use something called internal energy.

The people there interest me a lot, but their names rock even more.

Names like, Tiger of The North, Supreme Sword Sage, Dark Heaven Emperor. Talk about nicknames, they are all cringe.

"It's a common tale with many version in this world."

Chang Sung blinked his red eyes and stared at his student, "So this brat is liar," He smiled wickedly and added, "I should prepare the burning pot for him."

The burning pot is when masters give their students lots of work and only feed you in the morning.

I fell for that trick in my past life, I even thought that my bald monk master was trying to make food, but boy was I wrong.

I know how painful it is, such a sad experience.

"By the way Dean when did you get in this world?"

He is pretty fast to catch on and is one hell of a friendly old man.

"A few hours ago. What about you?"

"A week ago, I must say this world is fascinating and the food is just amazing."

Huh!.... Can ghost eat?

"My student can touch and give me staff."

My eyes open wide from surprise, "I see try holding my hand."

I raised my hand towards the old ghost and looked at him as he floated towards me.

I was filled with joy, as I never touched a ghost before.

I saw plenty of ghost..... but touched none.

Time seemed to slow down as Chang Sung got closer got to me.

The leaves flattered slowly in the sky and I could see the birds flap their wings. That was a bit too much, but you get the feeling.

He.... passed right through me.

What a let down.

I frowned a bit and said, "Well that's it for that. Let's wake up your student and eat the amazing food you are talking about."

The old ghost nodded and moved towards his disciple and.....

Slap....

The slap echoed through the whole forest and the black haired student jumped up like he was electrified, as he screamed at the top of his lungs.

"WHY DID YOU DO THAT FOR YOU CRAZY OLD FART!"

"Hey Kojiro you have a guest be respectful."

Kojiro finally turned his head at me and I could see him shaking in his blue cloak. His face was turning pale and griped his master's hanbok tightly.

When I was talking to Chang Sung, I was absorbing the Demonic Mana from the Demonic Orc, I am sitting on.

Since my job was done, I jumped off the orc's head and walked towards the shaking average looking teenage boy.

My steps were slow and steady, but they seemed to sent a glint of fear towards the black eyed brat.

I reached Kujiro and hold his shoulder while smiling a bit, "Take us to a nice place where we can get food around here and make sure their is no coffee."

He noded and he began to lead the way out of the Monster field.

On the way we walked through a nicely arranged Avenue filled with green life and small sized building. No one said a word to each other and we didn't bump into any monsters.

Kujiro lead us to a restaurant with a flash red light billboard named [MABurgerz] on top of its door, which was a 10 minute walk from the Master field.

A lot of people where coming in and out of the restaurant. When we walked in through the small doorway, I couldn't shake off the smell of wonderful food entering my nose.

When we arrived I could see how crowded the place was, the moving waiters who were catering for the customers.

The busy chefs rushing to and fro, with different kinds of ingredients in their hands.

The customers who kept on asking for more on a single table.

We moved on the square shaped tiles, in search for seats that took us 5 minutes to find.

We sat on very comfortable arm chairs and our food was placed on top of a blue table cloth, which was on top of a well crafted high table.

We were saved something called a beef burger, it had a lettuce, tomato, onion, beef, ketchup and mustard served on buns.

I hesitated to take a bite at first, but I took that bite and my world changed.

I could few it melt in my mouth, and I couldn't stop wanting more. It felt good and I couldn't help but lick my fingers when I was done.

I ordered more Beef Burgers and I didn't count how many as they all entered the holy place called my tummy.

***

I was eating my hundredth burger, I am not really sure which number is it, when Kujiro finally talked to me.

"Hey Dude, how did you take care of that abnormal Orc?"

I took a bite of the burger and said, "I jumped and sat on its head."

I could see his mouth almost hit the table from shock.

That's what really happened, after making the Mana Body, my physical condition leaped up, with an outstanding rate.

I even had troubles running when, I was looking for the source of Demonic Mana, I bumped into a lot of trees and after 30 minutes I finally reached it.

"It is true Kojiro. Dean did jump and sat on the orc's head."

The old ghost was the one to side with me, as his student fed him French fries.

"Wow! For someone my age you really strong. Are you above level 100."

"I am 25 years old,"

Kojiro laughed a bit and before he could say anything, I showed him my details from my smart watch.

The young man blinked a few times to make sure he wasn't seeing wrong.

"Dean Evester, so you are my homeroom teacher," Kojiro said as he frowned a bit, "So you are the only Evester and the only person on Earth without a system."

I nodded as I ate another burger and Kojiro just raised his brows while asking, "How did you kill the Orc without any help from the system?"

I smiled, "I am strong enough to kill such monsters without any help."

"Ohh, okay!"

"Kojiro. Tell me everything about this world and make sure to include recent news and everything you know about Griffin Academy."

"Sure Man, I love history."

What happened to students respecting their teachers, this guy has no manners at all.

"So 12 years ago, when the world famous game 'Tower State of Immortal' came to reality...."

After the 2 hours of hearing Kojiro I had finally filled in the gaps of this world Dean didn't care about.

Like information about, the tower system which gives people quest that are related to something called jobs.

When a person becomes a player at the age of 12 they get a system job, which shows the main field of area a person must practice in.

Mage types are given three basic skills Magic Bullet, Magic Arrow, Magic Spike. This skills are only given to those with regular jobs.

A person can only have 10 skills and obtained skills can be deleted/ replaced.

People can Level up by getting EXP, which they get from quest given by NPC's in the tower, doing an amazing accomplishment and from kills.

When People get EXP from kills and if its a team kill the EXP is shared according to the contribution ratio.

The higher the level, the higher the amount of EXP needed. Players of high rank, can't get EXP from hunting a low level monster on its own.

The amount of EXP got per kill depends on luck.

When people level up they heal each and everyone of their injuries, including growing a missing arm.

Just how crazy is that?

The most crazy thing is the system storage. They get a free 100 slots to keep any non-living item of their choice.

That is just sick.

Anyways, this world has three currencies, the first is Moz which is the currency used by the Hero Union (HU) and the all places under it.

The second is Kaz which is used by the Chaos Union (CU) and everyone in their territory.

The third is Tower Coins, which is used in the tower to buy everything a player needs, from weapons to skills.

The Griffin Academy is opening a week from now and I am teaching Class 1 Zero, which was selected for me to teach by the Academy Principal.

Students and teachers are not allowed to stay at school, as they are given free access to the teleportation gates.

There are few cadets who enroll at Griffin Mage Academy, as most of them want to be knights. I understand their feelings but being a mage is much safer than being a knight.

It is not mandatory to go an Academy, most children with parents in guilds are trained by those guilds through their parents connections and are sent out to gates or the tower.

Joining the Academies can easily get you a job at the Player Association.

There are only 3 Rankers at the Griffin Academy and if an attack happens the City will be left in ruins.

I have been waiting to get the system, but there isn't any sign of it popping. I would like to have one, as everyone does.

But by now, I can tell that there is no such thing as a system for me.

What a pity...

An awesome guy like me doesn't need numbers to measure his awesome strength.
