As he departed, a sense of security enveloped me, particularly with him alone on the jet. Despite the presence of others, they seemed inconsequential in that moment.

His attentiveness to my unborn baby, evident throughout the night and even from the first time he saw me, momentarily cast doubt on Muya's assumption that his brother intended to take away our daughter.
